I can't remember this album much, at all! </3

'Show Me Your Colours' was robbed of being a single though! SMYC > Natural... oops x

Have a relisten!!! It's my favourite album of theirs. The title track is Jon's finest moment, Tina shines on Stronger, obviously Show Me Your Colours is FABULOUS, and I adore Summertime Feeling too, what a great sample use *.*
I’ve only heard this once but it was a pretty decent pop album.
This is their best album in my opinion! Book-ended by two absolute smashes too

Another fantastic album, and certainly some missed single opportunities - namely Show Me Your Colours and Stronger!

Random but I've never been fond of that artwork  Something about it just looks awkward to me :') It's my least favourite of their album covers.

Oh I've always liked the artwork! Perhaps it's just so ingrained on my brain, being the first CD I ever owned
Definitely their best album for me, there isn't a song i don't like.

I got it today too, it looks great and is very high quality, a little pricey but I enjoyed listening to it again this evening!

The singles from this album were all great, and quite a lot of highlights besides, like Show Me Your Colours and Stronger.

Also why is today the first time I ever realised Summertime Feeling samples Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac? That bassline is so iconic, but I just hadn't put 2 and 2 together.

Ooh! Well, I have the HMV version... I'm not sure this is too essential for me, but at the same time I feel like I'd be missing an album from the set of picture discs if I didn't get this too.

I'm going to be poor!!

I’m intrigued as to whether the new vinyl really does have the logo in red (because the previous HMV vinyl had it in white) but maybe that’s just the mock up getting it wrong and it’ll end up being white?

As I have done for their other albums in their respective album threads, here is my review of S Club 7's 3rd studio album 'Sunshine'

1. Don’t Stop Movin’ – 10/10

Kicking off with this towering achievement in 21st century British pop. Built on a driving bassline that’s wrapped in cascading disco strings, brimming with infectious hooks and a soaring pop chorus. Bradley’s vocals lead the verses with raw energy, balanced perfectly with Jo’s beautiful vocals on the bridge and pre-chorus. Resulting in an absolute masterpiece of pop music and has rightfully become their biggest and most well-known hit.

2. Show Me Your Colours – 10/10

A softer and gentler track driven by some wonderful vocals and excellent vocal harmonies. With it’s slick and highly polished production set against some warm strings and acoustic guitars, this is an excellent number that should have been a single.

3. You – 9/10

Fun, catchy, bouncy and sugary sweet little pop song that’s brimming with the retro pastiche cloth as some of their previous singles and while this doesn’t really tread any new ground, it’s still a joyful little number that’s backed by a delightful bass arrangement which highlights the group’s playful harmonies perfectly.

4. Have You Ever – 10/10

Slowing down the pace now with this stunning sweeping ballad with gorgeous yet subtle hooks and gentle production. Driven by delicate piano chords, acoustic guitars and Jo’s powerhouse vocals, this is a firm classic S Club 7 ballad and one of their finest releases.

5. Good Times – 8/10

A wonderfully warm and mellow pop track where Paul takes on lead vocals and delivers one of his finest vocal performances. A nice chilled out moment, but it’s an album track only, but a solid one at that.

6. Boy Like You – 7/10

A lighter synth heavy track with solid vocals, catchy hooks and a nice bassline. The production does feel dated when compared to the previous tracks, but it’s a nice album filler moment.

7. Sunshine – 8/10

The title track is a breezy mid-tempo slice of acoustic pop with a nice summery vibe to it. Jon handles the lead vocals effortlessly and fully leans into the catchy vibe of the song, and the production has a nice relaxed and organic feel to it.

8. Dance, Dance, Dance – 6/10

A high octane Europop/club track with heavy pulsating beats and an energetic tone that feels like a companion piece of sorts to ‘Don’t Stop Movin’, although no where near as catchy or good. Standard bubblegum pop filler.

9. It’s Alright – 8/10

An incredibly bouncy and infectious up-tempo bop that leans heavily into a slick disco groove. Punchy horns and a funky bassline, it gives the entire group a chance to harmonize together brilliantly.

10. Stronger – 10/10

A dramatic and moodier mid-tempo track that gives Tina a rare and well-deserved moment to shine vocally. Driven by a Latin-infused guitar arrangement and a darker sonic texture that showcases the group’s maturity and it’s catchy as hell. Again, this could have made for a great single.

11. Right Guy – 6/10

This track opens with Spanish guitar before leaning heavily into early 00’s UK R&B beats. Bradley’s vocals are stellar on this, but the song lacks that distinct punch and sonic identity of the group’s bigger hits. Pleasant but forgettable.

12. Summertime Feeling – 9/10

A brilliant, laid-back bop that cleverly samples Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere’ in the chorus to give it that extra punch. This perfectly captures that warm, nostalgic vibe of summer and makes for a great standout on this album.

13. I Will Find You – 5/10

A mellow and watered down R&B ballad with dated production and melody that doesn’t quite stand out. This is definitely the weakest moment on here.

14. Never Had a Dream Come True – 10/10

Ending the album with an almighty bang (despite featuring on the re-release of their last album “7”), it makes a welcomed addition on here. This is the group’s finest ballad and a true masterpiece of pop balladry with its tender guitars, stirring strings and sweeping orchestral production where Jo’s vocals soar beautifully over its entirety. An immaculate curtain call to the group’s best album.
