Probably plus the novelty will die down and it's likely times like these will take more attention as it has bigger names behind it. I'd have lived captain Tom to have had a part in this aswell plus it would bring more sales.
Why is Happy Birthday by Stevie Wonder in the top 30!?

I think there was a suggestion that it was down to government advice to wash your hands to Happy Birthday. Whatever the reason, it's been consistently in the Top 40 for about the past month so it's not down to a single event.

Stevie Wonder is due to TikTok - it’s started in a video of how to spend your quarantine time and went from there.
I half thought it was for Captain Tom for his birthday this week lol

Didn't LadBaby also appear to be holding up surprisingly well in the first couple of days after the Xmas week last year :thinking: (I still expect Michael & Tom will have a much better 2nd week than that did but just saying).

 

Live Lounge Allstars still beating The Weeknd by more than 8 to 1 at the moment, interested to see the midweek figures for this. Very possible they may have already locked in #1 this week especially with the song actually pulling in some decent streaming numbers, perhaps the Thursday midday release may have turned out to be a genius move after all :lol: (though could lead to a very unusual looking chart run if it suffers the usual charity song slump but in its third chart week rather than the second).

The Live Lounge need to keep that rate of sales for at least tomorrow to be number 1 on Friday.

That said, there is sure to be alot of pushing throughout the week on various outlets to help with its sales.

I wonder how high Don't Rush could go if Coronavirus was non-existent? it's been near the top 10 for the past few weeks on iTunes but has been behind a lot of charity songs in that time.
'Don't Rush' is so bland. Ugh. One of the most annoying trends on Tik Tok rn. :(
