Now a survivor of doubles it seems... Two Pure tracks, two Gareth Gates singles (how lucky are we?!), two X Factor coronation singles and two lots of two covers. Now it's time to vote for your least favourite and each round the song with the most votes will be eliminated! :teresa:

I love the Eamon track.

I went for Gareth's Unchained Melody. This list has a few amazing songs but also a lot of bad.

Voting for the Gareth Gates version of Unchained Melody of course.

Guess we can start taking bets of which of Pure Shores or Umbrella will win then :P

There's quite a few poorly dated ones here, but that vomit-inducing cover of Hero has got to be first.

I think overall, this may be the best set of songs so far. The lows certainly aren't as bad as Cha Cha Slide or Crazy Frog, I at least like every song here..

Going to start with "I Gotta Feeling" which got really annoying by being overplayed.

F**k It is one of my all-time favourite songs and seeing it pick up votes against some of these songs is really saddening. :(
Going for Eamon. Didn't like it at all. Controversially I do like the Frankie one though  although I wouldn't even listen to that out of choice that much.
Went for Eamon. I hadn't even heard of this song till a few years ago when I started looking through chart archives, no idea how it was so big and I completely missed it

So which Gareth Gates sing to go for first? I went with Unchained Melody because that song is overdone.

I see Eamon will likely go first. It’s a shame because it’s actually pretty good but I think it’s always going to have that association with Frankie that cheapened the whole thing. I’ve seen loads of people on here loving Frankie’s song but it’s so much worse than Eamon’s! Eamon is portraying an angry and heartbroken young man. Frankie says there’s two sides to the story, doesn’t deny cheating, says he has no right to be upset and was shite in bed. It’s actually way more disgusting.

I still maintain that both are better than anything Gareth Gates ever did.

Yes!! Frankee's song is trash. I lowkey enjoyed their mash-up though. Eamon: "F**k you you h**" Frankee: "F**k you right back" :music: :kink:

He doesn't deserve 10th place in this imo - especially with Hero, I Gotta Feeling and Gareth in the mix. But it's definitely polarising and this survivor puts it at a disadvantage.

all I'll say about this list of songs is that there is a correct top 2 and I'd be quite surprised if it was anything but those as the final two...

between the remaining 8 I think I hate the idea of the Gareth Gates songs the most, Eamon is bad but bland covers with no discernible legacy are worse in my mind than at least a track that tried to do something different, so Unchained Melody first.
