I should know most of the songs from each year (in some cases thanks to past games on here like the Now tournament in 2018, 'Time To Burn' being one) but there are a few I've either missed or never bothered to listen to (hi most Westlife) so I'll take this on me to fill the gaps :P A1's 'Take On Me' was much better than I expected.

Funny that 'Beautiful Day', probably one of the most remembered #1s of the year (for better or worse), was actually one of the lowest selling.

I adore this year for chart music, Eminem at his best, UK garage and eurodance both being at the top of their game, pop generally being rather happy, some rock anthems mixed in there too...

Yeah it's a daunting task with 650 singles to eliminate before we get to the top 100 rate. :lol: But it'll be interesting to see how such a wide scope of songs rank in terms popularity. :D Re: Stronger I think it was released at the end of the year which - especially in the physical era - will hinder many songs' eligibility. We'll see later today whether or not it makes the 2001 list. :kink:
