May 19, 20205 yr ^^ I also think due to the streaming rules that Universal/Lewis (seeing how invested he is in chart positions etc.,) will want an EP entering at #33 or something.

If all streams from the EP (except for 'Shallow') count towards the album it will help boost sales of the album and possibly / probably account for why sales of the album have so far this week increased. Though it would be interesting to see how many downloads the EP has. Edited May 19, 20205 yr by Robbie

May 19, 20205 yr I would love to know everyone's expectations with Charli's new album given the number of posts saying she's flopping? It's comparable to the release of Number One Angel and Pop 2, not 'Charli'. Its a quarantine album (aka mixtape) put together in 6 weeks and it's a digital only release with no promo and no features or charting songs leading up to the album. Is everyone forgetting that Charli was actually promoted on TV and was an era in the making for months. The fact she's Top 20 in the midweeks is very good given the fact that none of her other mixtapes have even charted. Well my expectations were for her to debut in the top-twenty at the very least considering how low album sales are. Firstly, Charli themed this album as a ‘quarantine album’ and the zeitgeisty nature of it spurred on numerous articles from well-known publications about it- so that in itself is good promotion. Secondly, this album is actually regarded as her fourth studio album and NOT a mixtape; so let’s clear that up. Thirdly, her chart position for this album does not matter considering the universal acclaim it has garnered. However it would have been nice to see Charli claim a decent chart position which accurately represents the quality of her work for once. Edited May 19, 20205 yr by Cognizant
May 19, 20205 yr ^even if they are live versions? (it's a live EP)That's a good point and one that I hadn't thought about. Live versions of tracks can be combined for sales of individual tracks for the singles chart. The album chart rules refer to combining sales of remix and live albums with the original studio album, which isn't allowed. Although that wouldn't apply here anyway as there is an 80% crossover rule which the EP fails for album purposes. If all that is a correct interpretation of the album chart rules then streams of the live tracks shouldn't be combined with the studio equivalent tracks on the album. That, as they say, just confuses things even more..! Edited May 19, 20205 yr by Robbie
May 19, 20205 yr Would be interesting to see how the OCC treats the Lewis Live EP but it's doing nothing in the charts... on itunes, only Shallow is charting but just outside the top 100, so 5 sales tops per day on Spotify, Shallow went top 200 on release date thanks to NMF but left next day and no tracks have been top 200 since on Apple Music, Shallow went low top 100 and it's still charting around #100 but there are no other tracks in the top 1000 while a few of the other tracks are below <1000 so clearly he's not gonna get many streaming points if the 3rd highest charting track is at #1199

May 19, 20205 yr Looks like Think About Things finishing in the top 100 is pretty much certain now, it's in the top 50 today! :o Any chance Lewis taking Dua record for least selling #1 album?!! Lewis is currently about 300 sales ahead of where Dua was in the Tuesday update last week.
