Round 3 sees the 2003 Christmas number one 'Mad World' eliminated with a relatively small percentage of just under 29%. The track, originally a Tears For Fears hit in 1982, was covered by Michael Andrews (on production) and Gary Jules (vocals) for the movie Donnie Darko in 2001. The film was initially a commercial failure but sold well on DVD release and there was growing demand for 'Mad World' to be released as a single. Over two years after the song was used in Donnie Darko, the pair released it in time for the 2003 race for Christmas number one and caused an upset! They ended up beating the bookies' favourite The Darkness to take the top spot! The track stayed at number one for three weeks until Michelle McManus replaced it with eternal classic 'All This Time'.

Thank God that awful and overrated tripe is out! :cheer:

'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' next for me. Never been huge on it.

'Mad World' :( I probably would have voted it out like 4th or 5th round however only cause I like everything here nearly.

'Fight For This Love' gets my vote again. I'll be here a while voting for it. I think my next vote after that would probably be either Blunt or Nelly/Kelly though but I still really like both to a degree!

All classics, but I Kissed A Girl deserves to go.

We don't stan problematic pop songs in 2020.

I have to go with Atomic Kitten out of those. It's the definition of pedestrian. I find it lacks anything remotely interesting. :kink: All the other songs I can find something to like about them. I sense I'm alone in my opinion on WA lol.

I expect You’re Beautiful will go next which is a shame, I have a real connection with that song, always takes me back to my own situation from back then.

I Kissed A Girl is the worst song here and I will be voting for it until it’s gone.
