I think Trixie Mattel said somewhere in one of her videos that RuPaul is not the most talented queen - but she markets herself very well and that's what has got her into the position she's into today.
May 30, 20205 yr that's absolutely it patrick! rupaul was always known as the supermodel drag queen because he was tall and beautiful when he was painted, but it wasn't his own work necessary. he just marketed himself as a product and as a good businessman. genuinely the katie price(?) of drag x
May 30, 20205 yr I am SO happy that Jaida won. She's a really polished, glam queen who is really funny and warm to boot. A strong finale in general, despite the limitations set by Miss Corona. RU, actually do drag for a change challenge.

May 31, 20205 yr First of all I didn't dislike any of the 12 looks at the start of the show, every queen brought IT *. Secondly you can tell Ru cant do her makeup anymore lol I'm so happy for Jaida and Heidi both deserve it 💙
June 1, 20205 yr Okay so the double opening seasons will go down as some of the best. This season was fabulous, as was season 6. And the winner of the second opening episode ended up winning the entire thing! AND Miss Congeniality is once again a 5th placer. Edited June 1, 20205 yr by Isn'tAlice

June 2, 20205 yr Apparently Gigi had his performance originally filmed in a studio and he was almost disqualified and forced to re-do the performance at home. I guess that put a big "no" on Gigi winning, but Jaeda did really deserve the win. Crystal is definitively the most improved - hopefully they won't rush into having him on All Stars and let him percolate a bit.

June 2, 20205 yr I actually don't give a crap if Ru doesn't know how to do makeup anymore, it's so beyond that at this point. And it's not fair to say she won't be able to do the challenges she's setting for the queens. First of all, she doesn't need to prove anything anymore. June 2, 20205 yr Author I don't think I've ever u-turned on a queen as hard as Gigi Goode. I don't envy her easy upbringing, but I do think it really shows how she expected nothing but praise and couldn't take criticism at all. Not only that, she acted the whole way through as if she was much more high fashion than she was. She was no Aquaria or Violet Chachki. And besides that, the tendency - even up to the final - to try and cheat to get an edge, left a bad taste in my mouth. Her entire approach seemed all too calculated and soulless. Which is a shame, as she was my favourite from the MTQ!
