I vote for Taylor.

Shame for Britney, again hampered by the theme. Madonna was too, at that.

I'm loving the themes, personally. It's making it all a level playing field (a few of the rules could have been ironed out etc.. sure) but this way it prevented the contest from being the same as last time with the same songs getting sent at the same times, getting some actual discoveries out of this etc..

I think the themes will be staying, for the most part. But we'll definitely be thinking about removing some of them/being more consistent in them and having more free choice rounds, but the themes make this exciting, for me.

I like the themes too. As you say it would just be the same tracks each time we ran this otherwise, it's been an interesting variant.

I think the themes have ultimately been a great idea because it breaks up the monotony of just sending singles of gradually increasing popularity (which is essentially what AF Idol 1.0 was).

Not every theme can suit every artist, so if a theme happens to show up a flaw in that artist's discography then that's the way the cookie crumbles really. Britney's collaborations aren't usually perceived to be her strongest work.

As a Britney mod I'd have loved her to survive to the end, but evidently Me Against the Music was generally the least liked amongst all the voters, so I can't grumble about her going.

There's been a couple of bumps along the way with a theme or two being too restrictive (such as the round where Dua and I think Zara literally only had 1 song to send), but otherwise I think it's gone quite smoothly. Particularly this round because collaborations is very specific and clear cut.

I have enjoyed the themes and because of the themes I have discovered new songs.

this^^^ would like the themes back please and maybe some twists if possible or something!

I definitely like the themes as it’s allowed a wider spread of songs to be released and given the minor tracks a chance to shine! Looking back, it would have been boring to have a repeat of the first Idol. It’s nice for the whole discography to have an opportunity of being sent, therefore being more representative of the quality of the artists, rather than just the big or most loved hits. It’s definitely hard to forsee but I do agree there needed to be some more choice for some of the forums in certain rounds and I think that run of rounds of worst/flop/album filler could have been divided up with a free choice round but that’s just a minor issue :kink:

Anyway, I vote Taylor Swift - Bad Blood

The themes have been great. Long may they continue. :cheer: Btw is this Idol an annual thing? Because I would welcome it being a biannual thing. :kink:

Dannii not even being bottom 3 :cheeseblock:

2 of my favourite songs from the last round in this tiebreak :( but I'll vote to save Madonna.

I've enjoyed the themes too! I think it's important to remember we've not hosted AF Idol like this before, so we've naturally had quite a load of kinks to iron out along the way, and perhaps some themes worked better than others, but this is all something we're taking note of for when AF Idol 3.0 comes around - it'll be a smoother, better experience as a result! Besides, it's pretty impossible to consider 16 rounds for the 26 artists we started with, so all things considered, I think the themes have been a roaring success.
Taylor Swift - Bad Blood (feat. Kendrick Lamar)

I have to vote for Madge :P :P

Madonna - 4 Minutes (feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland)
