That percentage though for round 2. :o Akon gets the boot after the vast majority of voters (including myself) chose to oust 'Lonely' from the competition! The track spent two weeks at number one in May 2005 and became Akon's first chart topper/real breakthrough single globally. For me it is difficult to listen to whether it is Akon's lacklustre rap-singing on the verses or the horrid high-pitched vocals on the chorus. :tearsmile: Am I imagining this or was "high-pitched vocals" a trend in the mid 00's? :lol:

Lonely is brilliant :( (mind you so is most of this list). Loved both that & Locked Up at the time, in fact of all the artists in his genre he was among the best.

 

The high-pitched vocals in the chorus was popularised by Scooter I would say, Scene.

 

Sex On Fire once again but Boom Boom Pow is next in line so not fussed if that goes instead.

I notice those 4 people who inexplicably hate Left Outside Alone haven’t had the courage to post.
