I was never abig cd single purchaser. When i was really young i bought 7 inch singles, but by the time cds had replaced vinyl i had moved onto albums. I havent bought anything as new for along time, bar the odd christmas purchase for other people. The last cd single i think may have been Band Aid 20, and the last album as new maybe Adele's 19.

Now i buy any cds on ebay second hand. Never desperate enough to buy when released usually happy to wait acouple of years to get it cheap.

The one and only CD single I've ever purchased was buying Spice Girls' 'Stop' which I bought second hand on Amazon in late 2018. And that was just as a present to complete Jade's collection of Spice Girls CDs as she mentioned that was the only one she didn't own.
Last CD single I think was The Saturdays' All Fired Up in 2011, cassette was something like 5ive Got The Feeling. But my last vinyl single was a picture disc of ABBA's Voulez Vous released last year.

I think mine was probably a Freya Ridings single last year. I own more than 500 CD singles but need to go through them and give some away because I really need the space back.

I haven't bought a cassette single since the early 00s, and even then I probably bought less than 20 of those in my whole life, although the first single I ever bought was a cassette (Ace of Base - Always Have, Always Will).

I was disappointed when I went on my annual trip to Saturn in Germany last year and the CD singles wall had all but disappeared. They were a good source of getting quite a lot CD singles that weren't issued here up to 2017, possibly later.

OH I've just realised the title says 'single', not album. I purchased Band Aid 20 in 2004 and I don't think I have purchased a CD single since.
I never really bought a CD single during the peak of the format and cassingles were declining by the time I started going to my now closed down local HMV at around 2008/2009 for CDs, but I have bought a handful from some charity shops over the past five years. My most recent being Arctic Monkeys' I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor.
I think the last one was George Michael December Song which was in special PostCard form. I also purchased some Xmas cd singles like the Justice Collective and Band Aid 30 around 2014!

My sister and I once bought James Arthur Impossible from Netto

I vividly remember it came with a godawful cover of Sexy and I Know it.

Cassingle was probably Louise's "Naked" on 1996 and CD single was probably Rage against the machine's "Killing in the name" to complete my collection of noughties No 1's.

I think it was Adele “Skyfall” which was October 2012. I have hundreds from the 2000s when I used to buy my personal chart number 1 each week, some of them I think are quite rare now like MGMT's “Time To Pretend” (which only charted at No.54 initially, then boosted on download sales) and Ou Est Le Swimming Pool's “Dance The Way I Feel”. I think 2009 was the last year that I bought them regularly and like others here I used to enjoy visiting the flagship HMV store in Oxford Street to browse the catalogue racks.

The Zavvi (now HMV) still had a pretty big selection of smaller release CD Singles in 2008 but then moved to only the bigger releases and eventually the charity ones. I think the saving on plastic for those jewel cases is for the best really. It was only a stop gap for me while digital quality caught up.

Hate to say it was probably James Arthur’s “Impossible” lol. Last non-X Factor single was Taylor Swift’s “Mine” in HMV in 2010. I always got CDs in Woolworth’s when I was a kid and have like 2 boxes full of singles in my room, which surprises people cause I’m (almost) 20. Really miss those days!

Band Aid 30 for me!

I honestly went my entire childhood never knowing what a CD single was. Since then I could count on one hand the number of times I saw one in a store. I would buy it solely for the novelty of purchasing a CD single, although in this case I bought it for charity too

I think it would have been a Robyn single in 2007. I definitely bought With Every Heartbeat and I think I may have bought Handle Me also. That was pretty rare for the time anyway though, it was the first single I’d bought in years on a physical format.

I don’t know my last cassette but it would probably have been early 1993 sort of time.

I don’t buy vinyl singles very often unless they’re part of a bundle. Notable exception was the reissue last year of Music Sounds Better With You.

I think it was I'll Be OK by McFly. I rarely bought CD singles and never bought a cassette - I usually just taped songs from the radio.
The last 7 inch vinyl I bought was(don't laugh!!🙈) Saviour's Day by Cliff Richard in December 1990 (that year's Christmas No.1). I'm racking my brain for last cassette single but it could've been More Than Words by Extreme in 1991. I really wasn't a frequent singles buyer. My last CD single was Million Dollar Bill by Whitney Houston in 2009 (only cos I was/am a huge Whitney fan). I'm probably committing blasphemy on this forum by admitting I've never purchased a digital download single! I do love music and the charts but have no need to purchase such music myself if I can stream it for free.

Can’t remember the last single I purchased on CD, But the last album I purchased on CD was The Fame IIRC.
