January 31, 20215 yr Author Great win from Liverpool today, Salahs 2 finishes were lovely! 2nd goal was unreal. Looks like we have changed our formation up against the low block teams which was missing during our barren run. Honestly this season is just mad. Still don't think we will win the title, but providing we match or better City's result midweek, the game next weekend is absolutely massive for the league if Liverpool win it. Otherwise, City will walk it. Moyes always bottles it against Liverpool, we're like his kryptonite
January 31, 20215 yr Now I know why the phrase "Dr Tottenham" was trending on Twitter last week. Can't score a goal or win in the league in 2021? no problem, Dr Tottenham will see you now. Can't win at home? Dr Tottenham will help :cheer:
January 31, 20215 yr Can't win at home? Dr Tottenham, will help :cheer: Dr Tottenham strike once again! Timo Werner will probably score against them on Thursday
January 31, 20215 yr Author Brighton were really good today, although Spurs are absolutely awful without Kane. They over achieved so much earlier in the season. Wonder if this might be the summer Kane finally tries and jumps ship if they don't win a trophy.
February 2, 20215 yr When’s the last time a manager has lost 9-0 twice at a club in the top flight?
February 2, 20215 yr Author When’s the last time a manager has lost 9-0 twice at a club in the top flight? Haha probably never. Title charge back on  Fernandes not doing much to shred that tag he only scores set pieces..
February 2, 20215 yr Author And *checks notes* two assists. He’s more than balls in the back of the net Of course he is, but every good player who is made out to be as good as he is should have more of a threat from open play. The way VAR is operated in this country is also an absolute joke. Those lines they draw just don't make sense.
February 2, 20215 yr Wow what a truly amazing and fantastic result for us tonight, this will help improve our goal difference massively as well. A much better contrast to this time last week that's for sure! Poor Ralph Hasenhüttl will be traumatised by "9-0" for a long time now
February 2, 20215 yr  What is UP with Man Utd's home form in 2020/21 !! What is UP with Man Utd's home form in 2020/21 !! indeed.
February 2, 20215 yr 80 seconds into his Premier League debut and Jankewitz gets sent off, another record?
February 2, 20215 yr Just like last season when this scoreline happened to us, I watched that in full. Before the game I was sure we'd have little chance of getting anything out of it as so much of our squad, especially our defence, was out to injury (and our replacements loaned out to EFL clubs yesterday). We gave a start to Alex Jankewitz who has never started a game for us before (and somehow handed in a transfer request last week because he was annoyed at the lack of game time he was getting!), and our sub bench included two goalkeepers and outfield players who have all (aside from Redmond only) had so few appearances. It was obvious as soon as Jankewitz got sent off within two minutes with that horrendous tackle that this was going to be a thrashing, already was thinking it looked like 9-0 was going to happen again. 4-0 at half time, then a brighter start to the second half when Che Adams scored and somehow VAR ruled it out for offside, though I have no idea how (and that's not the only ridiculous VAR decision against us this week). At that point it felt like the players couldn't handle the setbacks anymore, and after 5-0 they had almost given up. We brought on another substitute (Tchaptchet) who had never played a senior game before because he was the only defender we had left in our squad! The second red card and resulting penalty (which also seemed like a bad refereeing decision) has left another of our defenders suspended too, so we have pretty much got no defenders left to put on the bench anymore until they come back. So many of our key players are out now going into our next few games, and Hasenhüttl has now seen the side lose 9-0 twice in as many seasons. It's a pretty tough time for the club at the moment (not helped by VAR this week) and I can see us sliding much further down the table in the next few games. Only we could (briefly) go top of the league and lose 9-0 in the same season though

Poor Ralph Hasenhüttl will be traumatised by "9-0" for a long time now  It's a good result and I won't lie a few weeks ago, my arse started twitching about United being able to win the title! But this result, while impressive (against 9 men) just reinforces what I thought. When it really matters, this United side doesn't turn up. Look amazing when a few goals up but not good enough to win the tight games against the big sides. They can play when the pressure is off, but when it really matters they are lacking. Anyway, can't wait to see Utd supporting us at the weekend against City!

We'll see what happens as the season goes on but if we can get a few more big wins it could help decide where we'll finish as the gaps in the table are still small and goal difference might make an impact, and United know more than anyone else the potential power of goal difference. I think most United fans (myself included) would prefer a draw between Liverpool and City but really it's a match that will be very hard to predict as City have a poor record at Anfield but this time there will be no fans at the stadium which could give a boost to City.

The gaps are small but I think what is likely to happen is either City will pull away by themselves or both Liverpool and City will begin to pull away. A lot depends on the nexy two games and if the results match each other. I've said it earlier but I just don't see United winning the title and I can't see them being in with a shout. The result today was good but it just papers over a lot of the cracks as per usual whilst Ole is in charge. It's alright smashing teams 9-0 against 10 men when the pressure is off, but every single time this season under pressure they have crumbled. Now maybe this is a little harsh but the pattern of this season is really similar to Wenger's Arsenal in the latter days, they'd do the donkey work against the rubbish teams but against the big 6 they would really struggle. Keeping it tight and trying not to lose against the big teams is outdated now in football. Of course it's a crazy season but I just don't see it happening
February 3, 20215 yr Just WOW. Can still scarcely believe that game last night, was absolutely thrilling to watch. Looked like we could score with every attack. Yes we had a man advantage pretty much the whole game but it really highlighted how much better we've become under Ole. Under Van Gaal or Jose we've have got to 2 and shut up shop even against 10 men. Absolutely needed to fill our boots anyway to catch up in the goal difference department. Anyway, can't wait to see Utd supporting us at the weekend against City! Not a chance :D obviously like Houdini said a draw would be the best result for us but I'd take City winning the league over Liverpool any day. Can't be having you joining us on 20 after all! Anyway like I said it's ABOUT TIME City had games against teams in the top 10 after their incredibly kind run so will be interesting to see how it pans out. Personally I still don't think we'll win the title no but the progress made to bridge the gap has been fantastic. It's not like we're just in a fleeting good run of form either we've literally earned more points than the rest of the league for an entire calendar year now.

Juts my two cents, but I think any progress here is made in vein. This is realistically your best chance at winning the title while Pep/Klopp are in the league and I still don't fancy Man Utd to even properly challenge. I still think City will break away - yes their run has been incredibly fortunate but if they win their next 2, nobody will catch them. It would have to be a breakdown of Kevin Keegan proportions. I've never seen a Liverpool team in a worse period of form or have our entire central defence out, I don't think we will be as weak and vulnerable as we have been ever again barring someone using their voodoo doll again to curse us  My problem with Utd is I just don't think they have the bottle. 9-0 is a great result, but they played against 10 mean for the entire game and then got a ridiculous red card in their favour in the 2nd half. Mike Dean's performance yesterday at times was bordering on criminal. Man Utd imo just don't have the same levels of mentality/nerve as City/Liverpool- every time the pressure comes on they crumble, it's why they get to semi-finals but nothing else. Will be interesting when Europe starts up again and how Man Utd playing second (after Liverpool/City most weeks) will effect things.
February 3, 20215 yr I thought Bednark deserved a red tbh he had time to stop his challenge and he took him down with the goal gapping!
