Atomic Drum Assembly - Comin' In Hot

'Comin' In Hot' is from Atomic Drum Assembly's 2019 album, 'Jump In'. If you watched the great TV series, Whiskey Cavalier, then you must be familiar with this one.

Currently in the top 10, 'Comin' In Hot' delivers a strong start.

Sending myself a message 'cause it's fun.

Pretty solid first entry from Ansel, was just outside the commiserations I listed iirc, nice song ~

Finally some more points, ty Frank :jump: x

These results are looking great so far, hope it will keep up that way!

Comin' In Hot was very catchy, had a Portugal. The Man - Feel It Still kinda vibe to it :music:

Mik Artistik's Ego-Trip - Sweet Leaf Of The North

One of Iggy Pop's favourite artists of the last 10 years and Glastonbury Festival favourites Mik Artistik"s Ego Trip represent Suedehead2 in UP 29.

'Sweet Leaf Of The North' is up to a slow start, yet to collect their first points.

Do we have a runaway winner? Vandal Moon gets 20 points and they are now 23 points in front of Color Therapy and Archive.

Suedehead gives 3 to Edwina Biglet and The Miglets making his own entry the last one to receive a point. Or will we have a 0-pointer? Stay tuned.

Yeah, got that during the plug session too, had to stay really quiet (as I sent 'Feel It Still' too)

btw I'll be a bit more involved shortly but I'm a b*tch and still have a bit from the preparation...

No changes at the top, but Cameron's votes switch up the top 10 quite a bit, Prince Rama, Blond:ish ft. Bahramji and Miel all enter the top third for the first time.

Next up: King Rollo

Mik Artistik was one of about three artists I was already familiar with because of his multiple Glastonbury sets each year, but I can't say I wanted to listen to that a second time.

I imagine 'Sweet Leaf Of The North' would have some charm to it if you were listening to it being performed in a bar or something but as a recorded song the vocals on it are really not it unfortunately...! (Thanks for some more points tho anyway Suedey :jump: x)

Correctly predicted that HANNIE would be Cameron! Decent song (if a little too poppy for this contest)

Woah thank you Cameron for 20 points! :o
Yes the vocals on Sweet Leaf... were really bad. When it started I thought it was going to be a little like Lemon Jelly or Public Service Broadcasting but it didn't live up to those standards unfortunately.

10 King Rollo

Archive - Lights

'Lights' is from the fifth studio album by British trip hop progressive and alternative group Archive - and yes, this is the longest song on the album. By far.

King Rollo does really well with his choice so far, sitting comfortably at number 5. Does Rollo have a hit on his hands or is it only a strong start?

Thanks to Frank for hosting this edition and my vote is:

While Vandal Moon got some points too, Lawrence Rothman's 20 made the battle at the top a bit more exciting. Another Sky enters the top 10 for the first time, Solo Ansamblis reenters (I'm just winging it btw, feel free to double-check my 'facts' and correct me.)

Next in line: SevenSeize

Rollo having the longest song again, truly a shocking development etc. xx (was a worthwhile listen though, another good song from Archive though not quite as great as 'Bullets' for me and as I said on plug I do think I'd have liked it more if the vocal part was a bit shorter and/or more varied).

Thank you Rollo, hooray for being top 10 at least briefly :cheer:

Vandal Moon not yet running away with this as much as I was expecting them to but still pretty early days
