So according to news today, Click and Collect could be banned at all places except supermarkets as a Cabinet sub-committee was told yesterday that people are standing too close together in queues and not wearing masks. That would mean Argos going to delivery only. Also the collection of food from giants like KFC and McDonalds would become delivery only. Many small fast food outlets like the hundreds of chicken and pizza takeaways in London and other big cities and fish and chip shops would close as most don't offer a delivery service. This would mean more food bought in supermarkets though and increase visits and footfall there. Travel agents could be all closed too.

The fact that travel agents are open at all boggles my mind

Me too. Thought they were closed.

Well done Morrisons and Sainsburys, the other supermarkets should follow suit in my opinion.

Not going to make a difference. You can literally print out your own ‘exemption’ card or just say to staff you have a hidden disability. They aren’t going to call the police everytime someone shows up without a mask and if they refuse entry to someone with a genuine disability then it opens up a can of works for lawsuits.

Stop it, how has this passed me by this whole time, what the hell why are they open

My mother works in Aldi and every day she comes back stressed as hell :(. People are in there every day without masks, or masks under the noses... no social distancing or respecting the staff, families having a nice stroll down the middle aisle. I really hope the rest of the supermarkets follow suit and also instruct stricter measures like limited number again.

That's so sad they work bloody hard in Aldi, sometimes I wish I could be around when someone causes a scene just to be like wtf, even though I'd pussy out in the moment no doubt.

There were two women yesterday at Bournemouth beach who were fined for sitting on a bench but the thing is that they were outed as covid conspiritards doing what they did deliberately, hoping for the police to catch them out so they could video it and put it over social media to turn people against the police. Nice try ladies, we’re not stupid enough to fall for your bullshit lies

How embarrassing, there was so many on my instagram sharing this story slamming the police. Haven't seen them share the story that is was staged though.

Like there's not enough to worry or stress about why would you even stage that, apologies I've just realised I've posted 3 in a row

Yes well done Morrisons. They say police WILL be called to remove awkward or violent customers.

Others like Asda and Tesco will hopefully follow suit.

And they have, along with Waitrose too.

Adding to this, John Lewis are suspending click and collect orders from their website from 5pm today to hopefully help lessen the amount of non-essential journeys.

Good. Will they have masks to give out though? Reports that Asda have today but not Tesco. What if you forget it and it's a cold day. Are you expected to go home, maybe with kids, to get it? Tesco charged me 50p for one once.

Ministers are considering it. See my post this morning but of course Argos are against this move.

My local Asda are always offering masks out, just people in my area like to be awkward.

Yeah our Asda is, just Tesco charge you 50p which I suppose isn't bad.

I'm shocked that the major retailers are just now requiring masks?? That happened in the US back in like June, and I thought we were being slow.

Do your cities not have their own mask mandates??

Yes but some people have been taking no notice. Many have worn them but not all by any means. Same on public transport.

Is it their job to pay for your groceries too? People need to take responsibility for themselves, you should know that being a Tory.

I know that but if some has forgotten it. No-one's perfect. And who says I'm a Tory? :D

You many times!

I forgot mine once and walked back home to get it!

Well if you forget it, you buy a new one don't you? I mean if you forget to buy your train ticket at home, you buy one at the station too right?

You don't just hop the train and expect them to pay for it

In Tier 4 estate agents were still open as they are ESSENTIAL apparently... and home viewings were still allowed!

But our government are so deeply invested in the UK property market that they will do anything to prop it up.
