Posted December 14, 20204 yr Both have been announced Ladbaby's is a cover of Don't stop believing by Journey Justin & NHS choir is a cover of his song Holy  Edited December 14, 20204 yr by Xmel05
December 14, 20204 yr Both sound pretty grim - I won’t know who to support if it’s between those two. :arrr:
December 14, 20204 yr I want Justin to do it! Ladbaby doesn’t deserve to the hold the title of the most Christmas number 1’s over the Beatles... As much as I like him, 3 number one’s for the last 3 years will be so boring and NHS deserve the feature! Edited December 14, 20204 yr by Mr. C. Joel
December 14, 20204 yr I'm actually glad Justin is releasing cos now it will be an exciting three way battle (well, okay more realistically a two way battle between him and Ladbaby)
December 14, 20204 yr great to have a proper battle boo (big boooo) at the choices it's all for charity but not an excuse to release crappy covers or horrendous originals why Holly? There could have done anything else, Holly is the worst song ever the NHS choir should have demanded a better song, anything would have done really

"Thanks for the offer Justin, but your song is shit".
December 14, 20204 yr I just can't imagine the NHS Choir singing that track star lyric though  I wonder if it's got a bit of rewording.
December 14, 20204 yr Will the Justin Bieber one be a classed as an old song or w new song? The old one has been in the chart fo 10 weeks now, and is on ACR. Edited December 14, 20204 yr by daniellovesmusic
December 14, 20204 yr I’d presume it’ll be a separate chart entity to the original Holy considering its for charity.
December 14, 20204 yr Yeah and I think I'm right in saying that OCC will usually do what the record label asks them to when it comes to additional versions? Usually it's beneficial to combine all versions, but they have good reason to split them here. The feat. John Legend version for Comic Relief of Sam Smith's Lay Me Down springs to mind. December 14, 20204 yr Maybe that explains partly why Holy was omitted from the tracklisting for Now 107. Saved for the next release maybe.
December 14, 20204 yr Was really hoping Ladbaby wouldn’t subject us to another awful cover this year. They do not deserve to equal the Spice Girls/Beatles record
December 14, 20204 yr I think Ladbaby has next to no chance, I am sure NHS Choir will win (because of the fact its an NHS Choir and also Justin Beiber being on the record). Ladbaby might not even make #2 and be overtaken by Mariah later in the week, the joke may have worn thin this year. Depends on how good/humorous Ladbaby's song is though.

Apparently the video is pretty crazy - so that might help.
December 14, 20204 yr Ladbaby comfortably wins hopefully. Although I do like Holy a choir cover is just gonna be hideous.
December 14, 20204 yr Anything but Ladbaby - will be downloading and streaming Justin/NHS along with Mariah.
