January 14, 20214 yr That was SO good :cheeseblock: Felt great to have a normal opening episode too without all the twists and turns :lol: Definitely the right decision (and bottom two - I love Bimini as a queen, but those looks...) in the end too, I wasn't finding much appealing about Joe sadly. Early favourites at this point though are Asttina (:wub:), A'Whora, Cherry, Lawrence and Ellie - don't think I've immediately loved so many queens in one season before either lmao!
January 14, 20214 yr LOVED the first episode!!! Early faves are Astinna (who I'm near on certain won't be popular for being confidenr), Tia, Lawrence, Tayce and Ginny. Really not a fan of A'Whora at all, reminds me of The Vivienne a lot! That's not a compliment either. Shocked at the bottom two and overall judgings!! Victoria Green and Sister Sister are SO bland imo and stood out as the worst ones.
January 14, 20214 yr Tia Kofi although I enjoyed her this episode was my pick for bottom 2 over Bimini. Ellie is probably my favourite so far but Asttina and Tayce aren’t far behind
January 14, 20214 yr everyone was SO GOOD, although as a sister sister fan i have never been so stressed during a drag race episode in my life. her scouse asda look was rly fun but she shoulda been bottom 2. all of my initial impressions are completely out of the window too lol. asstina was incredible. tia was great. i even rly loved bimini's looks. i can't want any of them to be eliminiated. also i call shade on the joe lipsync edit. i'm pretty sure she had not forgotten the words it was just part of the schtick. would have been a great episode to have a first week double shantay honestly.
January 14, 20214 yr Ladies I have many thoughts. I feel like Asttina got the win mostly to ruffle the safe queen's feathers because the Scottish queens were both super high quality. Lawrence in particular feels like she's already got the foundations in place for a run to the crown with those moments talking about her self confidence and you won't hear any complaints out of me. The other standout was Tia Kofi for the "series narrator" confessionals with a liiiiitle dash of pot stirrer thrown in for good measure. Generally felt there's a lot more spread of quality this season (partly since there's more of them I guess) compared to the fairly obvious top 2 from the start last season because even Sister Sister wasn't really BAD rather than just not quite as polished as the others. I'd have plumped for Veronica Green for the bottom three for just being a bit basic/simply dressed IMO. And "Rats: The Rusical" has got me MOIST for next week girls!
January 14, 20214 yr Author Gonna buck the trend and say at points I was kinda bored this episode :( Idk what it was, there weren't many looks that wowed me although I got a good impression of most queens. I do tend to not be so keen on runway/design challenges though so that may be why. I agree with Lex though I think it was more spread out which is a good in a way as there isn't that frontrunner straight away, and I need to not think that there HAS to be a real standout wow moment right away, that's just me. I'm definitely more hyped for a good old Rusical *.* The judging tho... Bimini I'd say was deserving of bottom 2, mostly for the second look which was really shoddy, I LOVED her though so glad to see her stay! Joe I didn't see the same hype with everyone else seems to, but her looks were definitely better than being bottom 2 - I'd say Veronica or Sister Sister could have been bottom 2 over Joe easily. Asttina winning I was kinda boggled by, I really liked the East London look, but Tayce did Naomi better imo and her Welsh dragon was my fave of both runways. I thought Ellie or Tayce should have won the challenge overall, I was really impressed by Ellie as I was fully expecting her to be quite basic and lacklustre but she struck that off RIGHT away! I think I'd have gone: WIN: Tayce High: Ellie, Ginny, maybe Lawrence or A'Whora Safe: Asttina, Tia, Joe, A'whora/Lawrence Low: Sister Sister Bottom 2: Veronica, Bimini Lawrence and Tia are my faves overall so far, also loved Bimini and Ellie.

January 14, 20214 yr Well! I didn't agree with ANY of that judging. Asttina wouldnt've made my top 5 & I wouldntve had Joe in the B2 at all. Disappointing. This episode was SO much better than either of the DR13s so far were though!

Lawrence Chaney my immediate fav tayce is Naomi Campbells inner gay man doin drag and I'm here for it. will she ever take that 30 inch off tho? but she looks more animo when she doesnt try.. Bimini in the tennis challenge gave me me too many jonbenet vibes and made me excited and uncomfortable at the same time cherry valentine's laugh reminds me too mucs of divina but this one's is kinda charming Ellie diamond needs to learn how to tuck and not mirror trixie ginny lemon is just too much. but I did like the Kate bush moment. also the pun made me realise that Kath butch is great drag name! astatine in and out of drag is STUN and her 1st runway look was amaziingGG and the east LDN girl look was on point. tho when she first came in I thought it was azealie banks dispelling her homophobia my northern queen Verona defo did the best tennis pic for me. sister sister's opening look was dreadful and the dusty drag was SO off. ones ive left out ive got literally no opinions on tbh also would climb that left brit crew like a TREE CHERULLL Edited January 14, 20214 yr by jakewild

January 15, 20214 yr Thoughts: Lawernce Chaney omfg I am in love already her sense of humour is right up my alley. She and Tia made the best first impressions based on the whole ep. Also, I relate to that not feeling confident in your skin part but they are beautiful inside and out I hope their journey is finding that inner confidence (Lawrence this is not tia). Mini Challenge was fun my fave moment was Tia's hair catching the balls haha. Iconic. Main Challenge/Runway: Best All-round looks was: Ellie/Astina/Lawerence for me each had 2 great looks. Everyone else had one good look and like one bad one. Joe I was so gutted went out first they seem so lovely but she did get beat in the lip sync. I couldn't tell if she gave up or if she didn't know the words at that part... but I thought if she continued she could honestly have beat Bimini :o All round great ep, the judging was confusing in places (Personally bottom 3 shoulda been Joe, Veronica and Bimini). I do understand why Sister Sister was. I actually loved their second look tho. We all know that girl.
