January 15, 20214 yr I absolutely loved the first episode; such a good representation of British drag. I love how messy and unpolished it was at points, it's just very different compared to American drag and I am here for it. There also seemed to be a lot more talent compared to last season's and I basically liked everyone. Shocked at the bottom two though! I would have expected both to go very far in the competition. I gagged at Bimini's second outfit. Yes, it was a hot mess, but that was definitely part of the appeal for me. Lawrence is a total doll (I mean, she referended the 'shit in the toilet video, instant legend) and Tia (that Alan outfit!!). Astina and Tayce stood out for me. Was only not massively keen on Veronica Green and also the Freddie outfit (seemed very 'lads doing drag during a bachelor party).
January 15, 20214 yr I enjoyed it - didn't really agree with Asstina being the winner though. Ginny Lemon is just way too much - it feels desperate more than anything else. The Lip Sync was certainly a step up from the previous series and I agreed with who won that. Overall though really enjoyed it :)
January 15, 20214 yr If I had to rank their performances in both runways overall for E1: 1. Ellie Diamond 2. Lawrence Chaney 3. Tayce 4. Cherry Valentine 5. Asttina Mandella 6. A’Whora 7. Joe Black 8. Veronica Green 9. Ginny Lemon 10. Tia Kofi 11. Sister Sister 12. Bimini Bon Boulash STUNNED at Joe’s premature boot, but they were all honestly fantastic in one way or another. The Queens I ranked in the Top five however were just remarkable, and had A’Whora’s hometown look only matched up to her Gay Icon look she easily could’ve taken the win this week. Saying that I think Ellie delivered the best package overall. Asttina looked BEAUTIFUL and her looks were cool, I just wasn’t massively blown away by either of them.
January 15, 20214 yr I thought this was an excellent first episode, and no matter who went it would've been a tough first out I think! Lawrence I am falling for so much, great personality and character for their age as well! Tayce has really surprised me too and is now one of my favourites after initially not being keen! Sister Sister and Veronica Green are my least favourites so far, they're just a bit quieter than some of the others so I don't feel like I know them just yet and neither of their looks wowed me so much. Scouse mum and Boy George were both pretty good though so I'm interested to see what they can do! I think they've got a fantastic cast and I'm happy to see Scotland and Wales represented, all different types of drag and the queens are full of personality! Really excited for the rest of the season and I'm enjoying this more than the US one so far! I think it was only a matter of time before this caught up but didn't expect it so soon!
January 15, 20214 yr This episode could be one of the best opening episodes ever. Great vibes from virtually all the queens. Amazing diverse cast and so many great personalities. So different from the US and I love it. Everything Lawrence said was absolutely hilarious and Tayce is fierce as helllllll. Her entrance had me gasping.
January 16, 20214 yr N: Tayce High: Ellie, Ginny, maybe Lawrence or A'Whora Safe: Asttina, Tia, Joe, A'whora/Lawrence Low: Sister Sister Bottom 2: Veronica, Bimini I mean she was probably the least memorable for me as well but forgetting Cherry Valentine out of your order! :lol: This episode already felt better than 99% of last season, purely because of the camera work. Tia should have been given the boot for that Alan Turing outfit alone, that was absolutely shocking. And no-one can tell me that Lawrence isn't Lewis Capaldi. :lol:

I loved it and thought it was one of the best and smartest looks of the evening. I even read somewhere that people found it offensive, but I read it as 'he was behind the coding, and now in 2021 I'll show you the coding in a different light', with the love and rainbows and to see how much has changed since what happened to Alan.
January 16, 20214 yr Here to say Lawrence Chaney has stolen my heart. I find myself screaming LAWRENCE CHANEY in that Scottish accent whenever I get a quiet moment to myself :rofl: Also loved Cherry Valentine (for that LAUGH and her looks) and of course I have to support my Birmingham queen Ginny Lemon - so surreal seeing someone I used to see weekly at clubs on such a big show! There were some big messes too - Bimini and Veronica Green in particular
January 16, 20214 yr Such a good first epsiode! I couldn't stop laughing during the tennis photoshoot. The cast is so diverse and talented! I can't wait to see how things go. Shocked that Joe was in the bottom 2! I was sad to see they looked liked they gave up halfway through the lip sync :( My early favs are Asstina, Lawrence & Tayce.
January 17, 20214 yr A really meh premiere for me sadly, just not massively feeling this group of queens yet but hopefully that will change with time. Tbh it kind of felt like it could be a cast for a latter series of Channel 4 Big Brother, just a lot of loud personalities. If I had to pick a favourite maybe Ellie Diamonds, her home town look was so good! Liked Lawrence on the runway as well but something felt really off about her when Ellie walked in and also based of next weeks promo so I’m not going to invest in her yet! Disappointed to see Joe go as well, not the best looks but not the worst either and a likeable enough character from what I saw. Shame to lose one of the few “older” (i.e. over 30) queens right away as well.
January 17, 20214 yr Joe Black being 30 at the time of the filming was the biggest surprise to me. No shade but she looks at least 45 in drag.
