January 28, 20215 yr Can’t see the Bryan Adams record falling in the ACR era. The best hope for that was 2015-19 imo! Always in a change over period for the charts these event happen. Like in 1991 moving from vinyl to cds so weekly sales were relatively low.

Like in 1991 moving from vinyl to cds so weekly sales were relatively low. Yeah, format changes always slow the charts down and tend to produce lower sales and long running #1s. I think 1992 held the record for the fewest #1s until 2016 finally beat it. Downloads also slowed the charts down in 2006 after the rapid turnover of the early 2000s.
