February 17, 20214 yr Chart turnover was very rapid in 2000, 42 number 1s and a couple of close shaves where there could have been even more! But it was justified by the fact that sales were also huge in that era, most of these took massive first week sales to debut at the top. Actually with such a large sample to pick from i'm surprised by how few of these I would completely disregard, some fantastic tunes this year.
