139k being reported for it's sales so far in the UK, yesterday! It's AHEAD of 'Midnights' at the same point ('Midnights' ended up with about 131k at a similar point). This is a re-recording of an already hugely popular album so I imagine sales won't be as strong through the week as a new release would be, but this is still insane

What a slay! Well done Taylor.

It looks like all 3 of her charting songs will be vault tracks! Is if over now and now that we don’t talk are #1 and #2 on Spotify with slut at 4 so I think they’ll be her 3 charting ones. Hope style can chert in the coming weeks, deserves so much more than 21 peak. And out of the woods too. Deserves to smash

Monday mids sales:

1 Taylor Swift - 1989 (Taylor's Version) (147,683) *

:cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock: :cheeseblock:

Already the biggest opening week of the year by a long shot. Closest competition is Lewis Capaldi who opened with 95k

I ordered all five vinyl but got sent two yellow and no green.

Currently waiting to hear back from her store but if it doesn’t go well, if anyone else has a spare green and wants to swap, please let me know!

Those sales are insane. Especially for a rerecording.

It just blows my mind the success she has had in such a short space of time since lover in 2019.

Quoting my post from the Friday Chart Predictions thread:

She's still (slightly) ahead of where 'Midnights' was at the same stage in the mids!

According to THIS post 'Midnights' was on 157,869 in the Tuesday midweeks.

'Midnights' Wednesday: 173,623

'Midnights' Thursday: Unknown

'Midnights' Eventual: 204,501

I imagine '1989 (Taylor's Version)' will end up on around 180k-185k (still incredible!)

It's insane that a re-record of an incredibly popular album is opening with these kind of sales. It's already her 2nd biggest opening week in the UK and the week isn't over yet!

'Say Don't Go' is honestly sublime. It's so, so beautiful!

I think it's actually top 3 on the album for me... Top 5 definitely...

'Is It Over Now?' is also incredible and I'm extremely happy to see that it's seemingly gone on to be the unlikely favourite of the vaults.

I'm obsessed with this re-recording. I think it's genuinely spectacular. This album has such a hold on me.

I love it so much… I’d go as far as to say it’s already up there with her best like all too well, enchanted, you’re not sorry etc. cannot get over how good it is and how much I’ve played it so har!

GUYS!!! Please buy Now That We Don’t Talk and SLUT! on iTunes/Amazon/Qobuz we need to get the top 3 !!!!
First listen of 'Is It Over Now' and it's sounding good. Fab to see Taylor on course for another #1 and much sooner a gap compared to the gap between her first and second #1 too (1 year as opposed to 5). She just becomes an even bigger chart force than she already had been!

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm actually quite nervous about The Beatles and how much they *may* have sold on iTunes yesterday... enough for number 1? Probably not, but I'm nervous.

I for some reason don't think she has the top 3 either. Which will be a shame!

I really don’t think they have managed enough for top 40 tbh, they haven’t even had a full day of sales

A week later and I am just so glad I can stream this album without feeling guilty about funding towards them who shall not be named.

I also LOVE that I genuinely don't think it's a butchered job and each one is good enough to replace the OG's in my playlists for the forseeable! Just a great GREAT album that I can't wait to continue listening to for years to come. 'Out Of The Woods' does things to me. The TV may actually somehow be *better* than the OG! LIKE HOW DO YOU TURN SOMETHING PERFECT EVEN MORE PERFECT?! WHAT KIND OF WITCHERY IS THAT!???
