It's been under 48 hours since Chemtrails has dropped but in the midst of shading an article on her insta story, she's announced her next record will be out on June 1st and titled Rock Candy Sweet!!

 

I am sure we'll have an album title change and y'all that's familiar with Lana, about 700 pushbacks from that date too (especially considering that's a Tuesday) but wow, LDR8 coming sooner than expected :o

 

I thought maybe it'd be one of the 2 cover albums we were promised last year (that in a massive shock, never materialised) but she said that she'll continue to challenge thoughts her career was built on cultural appropriation & glamorising domestic abuse, so I doubt its covers

Exactly! This was just a B-side to NFR. It explains why it isn't great. The real album will follow the buzz album. They must have known the next albun would get little buzz, and so used this one to take the hit and build up some buzz for the real one. When will your faves though? Well, except GaGa with ARTPOP, but she welched on releasing the rela ARTPOP after all the reviews.

Hoping there's a change in album name as Rock Candy Sweet is NOT GOOD. But yeah seems odd timing to announce this just after the previous album release. She could've done better dropping it out the blue on June 1st as enough people would be interested and the hype would do her good as the quality usually backs her up.

Didn’t she do this last time, announce “White Hot Fever” right after NFR was released.

She's the new Kanye with announcing albums. At least she delivers the quality still though when they finally arrive...

but isn't one of her biggest critics stealing from others cultures, so a covers album might be (in her head) the perfect idea to prove to people she doesn't appropriate culture.

the album artwork is f***ing horrific, more graphic design is my passion teas. at least it's better than the LMLYLAW and HIADTFAWLMTH-BIHI artworks, though saying that I'm not sure how it could be worse.
