Click on the above relevant links.

'Old Town Road' spent 2 weeks at #1 here so 'Montero' is coming to at least equalise that *.* I suspect replicating its U.S. run will be more difficult...

Would be good if Nice To Meet Ya could make the Top 40, that's grown on me a lot over the past couple of days. Brilliant to see Summer 91 getting a big boost too.
if you stream tracks off Rumours, it also counts for their Best Of, so makes sense they go hand in hand in the charts
Surprised at how much Tom Grennan and Lana Del Rey have fallen on the albums chart. Can’t see them rising from those positions also

even worst for Ben Howard, out of the top 100

but maybe that makes the OCC do something, if you look at the album charts it's really a playlist/compilations chart

it's not indicative at all of what people are buying beyond week 1

Didn’t even notice that - that is shocking. I have always thought streaming severely impacts some album artists, especially when you see they are 40+ places higher in the sales chart

Did not expect Ben Howard to fall that much at all, i thought he would be safely top 40, i hope Maroon 5 can get a new peak this week with their singles album.
Honestly Ben Howard going 1 - out just shows what a total mess the album charts/industry is right now

They won’t do anything - we’ve already had the You Me At Six album drop 1 - out this year and The Vamps 1-72-out last year along with countless other 1 week Top 5/10 wonders.

Becky Hill is going for that new peak in the album chart :D I bet it will be #1 one day, maybe in the next century, who knows....

Here's a chart that is indicative of what people buy beyond week 1:

:tumbleweed:

:kink:

It's a shame that Ben Howard is likely dropping straight out of the top 100 but he's not the first and won't be the last, I'm mostly past caring about the longevity of albums that don't get streaming support, just happy it got #1.

Good to see Silk Sonic back in the top 20 today, hopefully a new peak this week (feels like it should be blowing up more but at least it is doing a lot better in the US).

It's those Greatest Hits albums again.

8 Fleetwood Mac - 50 Years: Don't Stop

13 Elton John - Diamonds

21 Abba - Gold: Greatest Hits

24 Michael Jackson - Number Ones

26 Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend

31 The Beatles - 1 ^

34 Whitney Houston - The Ultimate Collection ^

36 Maroon 5 - Singles ^

37 George Michael - Twenty Five ^

39 Bee Gees - Timeless: The All-Time Greatest Hits ^

And there are many more in the Top 100 albums update chart. A result of streaming no doubt.
