his last new entry in the top 40 was that Tiny Dancer cover by Ironik ft Chipmunk and Elton John

and as a lead his last proper new entry was Electricity which debuted at #4 in 2005,

and is his most recent solo top-40 hit in the UK not counting the re-entries for Step into Xmas.

Electricity charted thanks to some dubious chart shenanigans, thanks to an Elton John competition where fans sent text message and received a download of the track, which counted towards the song's chart position :o

I remember he almost replaced himself at no.1 (Ghetto Gospel) due to those shenanigans.

At LM AM climbing from Sunday, ngl as much as I'm obsessed with it atm I didn't think it would struggle to repeal

I've tried reading this at least 20 times and still can't make sense of it at all.

They want to know if Anne-Marie/Little Mix are likely to climb / repeak this week….

Olivia Rodrigo's sour vinyl is out this friday, so could her sales climb

That will likely result in sour returning to number 1.

Little Mix and Ann Maire should easily get a new peak this week based on yesterdays midweeks.

That will likely result in sour returning to number 1.

Maybe not when she’s up against Lorde. Shame Becky Hill pushed her album release back a week as she could be someone to stop Olivia from reclaiming the top spot

I hope Sour can return to the top spot tbh, it’s one of the best albums I’ve ever listened to and it isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. Been in the top 5 every week since its release, I’m curious to see how long it can stay in the top 5 before dropping out.

I'm not gonna be holding my breath for Lorde to be in contention for the #1 album, I thought 'Melodrama' would have been in with a good shot at the time but then it ended up charting lower than her debut (including infamously being outsold by a new album from goddamn Nickelback of all people). I hope she can at least keep up her 100% record of top 5 albums though.

I imagine that unless it was a very limited release a vinyl for 'SOUR' will have enough interest behind it to boost the album back to #1.

I'd love Becky to be even in with a shot of number 1 but there is part of me that thinks she might struggle to go Top 10.

Late night mids x

For reference, #12-16 is SUPER close in the singles chart, they could still end up in any order.

Big shame about Kiss Me (Uh Oh) dropping back down. At least the Fly Away earache is no longer on track to bother the top 10.

Just For Me on for a Top 40 debut is of course fabulous though I had hoped it would me more of an instant hit than this considering it was promoted on TikTok before release.

Also shouldn't he be called the Adult Laroi from today?

It looks like it’s gonna be very close between ‘Ain’t Shit’ and ‘Kiss Me More’ for Doja’s 3rd charting song this week. Kiss Me More is starred out today with Ain’t Shit charting instead but it was Vice Versa yesterday so gonna be tight!
Killers sold more than I expected since the Monday update which is great! I'd love Becky hill to stay top 3 in the singles.
MistaJam on the verge of missing the top 40. Shame Clean Topic are already out

I’d rather YR made a return. Shame it didn’t have a long chart run due to it falling victim to the three track rule. KMM needs to disappear for good

Fully expecting it to scrape top 20 and then stick around forever at the low end of the chart. Don’t know how big her core fanbase are, but the fact all her solo songs (with no features/extra artist credit attached) have struggled doesn’t give me much hope there is one.

Glad to see The Killers looking comfortable. It is a very cohesive album which hopefully will help encourage people to listen to the whole thing rather than cherry pick 1-2 tracks. Dave would need quite the last minute boost to catch up now.
