Yeah we can do without that horrendous Whitney remake becoming a big hit pls. (I guess it's good for John Newman making a comeback but could it have been with literally anything else? x)

'Bad Habits' is up about 3.7k from its Monday midweek last week, the new remix is obviously much more streaming than sales driven so probably safe to assume it's heading for 0 weeks decline which means it's coming for 11+ weeks at #1 unless something major happens to disrupt that.

I was really hoping to see 'Take My Breath' climb into the top 10 this week.

I hope this can actually become a big hit, this is a bit of a worrying start for it.

Will ever get rid of perfect someone one love dance monkey mr brightside block space new songs still

I know this is a typo but I am actually surprised that Bob Marley's 'One Love' isn't a regular feature in the lower end of streaming charts like 'Mr Brightside' and 'Chasing Cars'.

I actually think its great sales

Considering there has been no singles

So people have been pre-ordering blindly

Also last album opened with 50k

But were inflated by tour bundles

Why is Believer by Imagine Dragons at #88 in the singles chart

Thinks it’s because it’s on an ad but not 100% sure!

This has felt like an extremely lowkey release from The Killers really, wouldn't surprise me if a significant portion of the people who bought their last album in week 1 weren't even aware it was coming out. The fact it's still cruising to a comfortable #1 despite not even having a lead single just shows how healthy their fanbase continues to be. Brandon Flowers 9 for 9 on studio albums debuting at reaching #1 in the UK!

edit: actually 'Hot Fuss' didn't debut at #1 oops, all the others did though x

Amazing to think it hasn’t been number one!

Elton John coming for his first Top 40 hit in 12 years and first Top 75 in 6 years.

Didn't he chart with It's a Sin earlier this year?

Or was that just down as Years and Years?

Also he technically charts every year with Step Into Christmas

The OCC did credit Elton on it (in an extremely rare case of them bothering to change the credits for a remix version, despite it being arguable if the Elton version even is the 'main' version of the song since neither version was really pushed as a proper single).

his last new entry in the top 40 was that Tiny Dancer cover by Ironik ft Chipmunk and Elton John

and as a lead his last proper new entry was Electricity which debuted at #4 in 2005,

and is his most recent solo top-40 hit in the UK not counting the re-entries for Step into Xmas.

Electricity charted thanks to some dubious chart shenanigans, thanks to an Elton John competition where fans sent text message and received a download of the track, which counted towards the song's chart position :o

At LM AM climbing from Sunday, ngl as much as I'm obsessed with it atm I didn't think it would struggle to repeal
