It's been a bit of a busy week for me, but I will be voting today. I made a YouTube playlist for anyone that may need it (ie. me x)

An interesting mix of songs here - 'There Used To Be A Darkness' intrigued me, from what I can find online the song is from an album about him losing his faith, but to me a lot of the lyrics in the song could be used for the experience of someone coming to faith in Jesus as well (so much so I actually checked to see if he was a Christian musician). I wonder whether this was deliberate?

Voted. There was a high standard of entries this time and quite a few good ones that I couldn't give points to.

Voted now! Great edition as always, I feel like any of my top 6 could've got my 20 on a different day, but they were all great.

I can't explain why I'm suddenly doing last-minute voting again in both BJSC and UP in the same month when I've actually been normally been kinda on time for BJSC in the last couple of years, but if I vote like an hour late in this will I be deducted.

 

If not then I have enough time to give a good assessment but I'll just partially skip the ones where I decide midsong that they're not in contention for my votes, I'd just prefer to listen more thoroughly x

Go with when you’re ready Harve. UP has never been about rules etc so hopefully you won’t be deducted if you’re there or thereabouts on the deadline

In that case, I've voted half an hour late which I don't think is taking the piss, and I'm glad to have benefitted from those extra 30 minutes considering my votes more carefully, which might be more in the spirit of the contest!

 

The quality was as good as everybody was saying and there were plenty of interesting tracks that I probably wouldn't come across outside this kind of contest.

Just wanted to come here and say that I'm actually gonna be gone all day tomorrow (Labor Day weekend shenanigans, fun) so if the mods and everyone are up for it, I am down to extend the deadline another 24 hours to help the stragglers get their votes in. Just wanted to put my best foot forward for results and if I'm too occupied with other stuff then results are gonna drag too long. Thanks for understanding :heart:

So yesterday I heard the Dayglow song on the radio while driving through the middle of nowhere in South Dakota. Needless to say that was a surprise!
