September 13, 20214 yr Steps are now doing a signed vinyl for £15 in their bid for no1, think that's their only ever signed vinyl, none of this 'art card' nonsense. I can’t find this on the website
September 13, 20214 yr Steps are now doing a signed vinyl for £15 in their bid for no1, think that's their only ever signed vinyl, none of this 'art card' nonsense. They done it for Part 1 too but it was £20 then got reduced to £15 but it was a last minute thing.
September 13, 20214 yr I can’t find this on the website  Not sure if posting links is allowed but I'm sure a mod can delete if not.... https://townsendmusic.store/product/86630?_...urce=sendinblue
September 13, 20214 yr Cold Heart holding strong at #4! :cheeseblock: With Drake still faling, this still climbing and only a 1.4k gap, is it too much to hope it could get a place higher by Friday?
September 13, 20214 yr Another No.2 for Steps! Still, after the Xmas album flop in 2012 a hat trick of No.2 albums would have seemed impossible so kudos to them for pulling off such a great, sustained comeback. I hope one day they’ll manage another No.1.
September 13, 20214 yr With Drake still faling, this still climbing and only a 1.4k gap, is it too much to hope it could get a place higher by Friday? Pretty sure Cold Heart won’t climb any higher this week - it’s sales heavy and the sales get added in early. Drake’s streams are fading but they’re still higher than Cold Heart’s so I’d expect the gap to widen. Edited September 13, 20214 yr by JulianT
September 13, 20214 yr Another No.2 for Steps! Still, after the Xmas album flop in 2012 a hat trick of No.2 albums would have seemed impossible so kudos to them for pulling off such a great, sustained comeback. I hope one day they’ll manage another No.1. I don't think I'd be totally surprised if Steps outsold the Manics this week, especially if their label go for it and reduce prices / do fan bundles etc (and make up some cassettes, obviously!)
September 13, 20214 yr I think steps and bmg will go for it but the manics have loads of different versions available so it's hard to call for sure just yet.
September 13, 20214 yr I think steps and bmg will go for it but the manics have loads of different versions available so it's hard to call for sure just yet. I'm not totally convinced anyone in the UK is interested in buying a Manics album after release day :/ But we'll see!
September 13, 20214 yr Love (Sweet love) really isnt picking up hype is it? down to 56 Suppose it is hard as 2 of the girls are off with babies so they can't really go hardcore with promo, really doesn't feel like this song has HIT
September 13, 20214 yr Manic Street Preachers only having one #1 album is definitely a surprising stat (especially as they have more than one #1 single! it must be rare for any rock band to have more #1 singles than albums), I hope they can hang on at #1. It's just showing up because of the vinyl release so it'll fall hard over the week but good to see Hayley Williams' album finally making a chart appearance, hope it's done enough to secure a top 100 placing this week. Also great to see 'Verdansk' getting such a good boost from its music video release! And pleased to see that 'Cold Heart' has a decent lead over #5 at the moment, might actually hold onto the top 5 this week then? A little late but I think Coldplay/BTS should have a decent shot at debuting at #1 unless the streams of 'Shivers' pick up a lot in the next couple of weeks, 'Dynamite' and 'Butter' both opened with numbers that would have challenged for #1 on a similarly uncompetitive week.
September 13, 20214 yr Manic Street Preachers have a Banquet Records show going on sale tomorrow (with album + ticket bundles)
September 13, 20214 yr The #2 sales will be very low regardless, under 40k for sure. Since when is under 40k low by today’s standards? Steps sold 36k of WTFH Part 1 last year and it was one of the top selling #2 (and overall) first week sales of the year…

September 13, 20214 yr Decent album sales looking like there’s a change the top 5 will break 10k! Forgot all about the Stranglers album!
September 13, 20214 yr Interesting you mention the next Coldplay single Bre, that's actually on my list of things that could potentially disrupt the Sheeran plan lmao.
September 13, 20214 yr Also just noticed that Streetside is actually heading for a Top 100 placing in the Monday update. Ok it's only at #98 and could easily drop out again before Friday, but still kinda nice to see it getting some late recognition.
