UK Chart Run: 20-9-3-1-1-1-1-2-7-21-57 (11 weeks)

So it's the Wets who are the next to fall as Goodnight Girl got almost half the votes last time around. This feels like such a forgotten number one, I can't think I've ever heard it since the year it was released. I remember liking it at the time and I've just listened again and still think it's quite a nice track, definitely one of the band's better efforts. They had three #1 singles in the UK and this was the only one not to be a cover version so it was by far their biggest original song. And that's about as much I can say that's of even vague interest so that's two in a row that have been kinda dull! :/

Who's next to depart then?

poor Wets! always had a soft spot for Goodnight Girl, nice little song

voted for KWS

‘Goodnight Girl’ is def their best number one but it’s the beginning of their departure to MOR material to stay relevant imo. Lovely song though!

Time for Jimmy to leave now!

I like it but Jimmy Nail this time.

Please don't go KWS. Good dance version of an annoying original version.

Tell me about it. It's times like these when I want to be able to see who the heathen was!

I love Goodnight Girl but I’m clearly the only one as I gave it 90% of its points in the best #1 poll!

I voted for ABBA-esque.

^I also like Goodnight Girl, probably my 3rd favourite #1 of the year

Kill this round and start a new one @Dandy!
