What were their respective 2nd hits?

LF - Reality (29, barely counts as a UK hit given its short run but it was held back for a silly length of time so probably would’ve spent longer in the chart otherwise)

CS - You Are the Reason (43, but had a decent run and went platinum)

Finally the Lost Frequencies/Calum Scott track is starting to get some attention in the UK.

It’s already made the Top 10 officially in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland and is Top 40 in Austria, Norway, Denmark, Sweden & New Zealand.

ftr its New Zealand placement is on NZ's Hot Tracks chart which just means it was one of the 40 biggest gainers of that week and in reality is miles away from the chart. Not to say it couldn't get there eventually. It's #132 on Australian Spotify without major playlisting so similar markets suggest it could be close to NZ's Spotify chart as well.

Such a curious song, sounds influenced by ATC Around The World in the buildup and then has those Marea We Lost Dancing style wobbly synths in the instrumental drop of the song. I like the song anyway.

Måneskin getting an instant fairly high add to HHUK bodes well for this to give them another hit - I really just still don't want to get my hopes up too much because a Eurovision act having sustained success is such an alien concept (and even if we consider them to be more of a 'TikTok act' than a Eurovision act at this point, there have been plenty of artists who have had hits fuelled by TikTok but then fallen completely flat with their follow-ups) but here's hoping they can continue pulling it off.

wow great support for Måneskin from the start

they now added Jessy to NMF as track #5 but not to HH, was expecting more support

Jesy is already 33 on AM, in 6 hours....

Really surprising.

I mean not really  Jesy's first single was guaranteed to be big off name/hype alone (ofc the song is trash but that makes no difference here)

on apple:

25 NEW

Jesy Nelson - Boyz (feat. Nicki Minaj)

Im super surprised too, consider the bad reaction in all forums even before hearing the song, she seems to be hated like crazy everywhere especially the L Mix community

This is going to stop Ed Sheeran getting a record equalling 16th consecutive week at no.1 are we thinking?

No. The song is so bad... The mini hype will die in a day maximum.

I suppose it could be a 'Swagger Jagger' type no.1 and fall fast - although even that song is better than Jesy's.

also noteworthy on Apple:

Sam Fender

36 Get you down

59 Seventeen Going Under

87 Spit of you

really hope he can get his first top 40 hit

Jessy up to #17 on Apple now, climbing faster than Ed did :D
It’s the first solo LM song and Jesy has by far had the most press (whether she wanted it or not), so not surprised there are loads of curiosity streams/listens. Time will tell if it holds out.
Jesy #13 on Apple now, bit surprised there's no sign of Måneskin-Mamma Mia in the top 200 Apple yet
