A rock remix of GAYLE’s ‘abcdefu’ has appeared at #199, giving it another 53k streams! Shaping up to be a massive hit

 

I was wondering if this was one that had another version bubbling just outside the top 200 as it seems unusually high in the overall chart compared to its streaming position, so that makes a lot of sense. (It actually has a handful of other versions available too I see although no idea if any of those are contributing much - this 'angrier' version has been out since September anyway so I assume it was doing pretty decently last week too)

 

The latest version, a remix with Royal & The Serpent, actually only just came out a couple of days ago.

Great to see Adele's tracks all climbing. "I Drink Wine" is building a decent lead on "Shivers". I hope she can do 1, 2 and 3 on the singles chart!

The 'abcdefu' song reminds me a lot of the song 'hot girl bummer' by blackbear but I don't find it as annoying as I did that song.

Amazon is already dominated by Xmas songs, 7 in the top 50

and around 20 in the top 100

Adele still has all the top 5 on Spotify, and the whole album still in the top 20. EOM #1 with 775k

The whole album still being top 20 is actually really good. I suspect Ed may have achieved this with divide but I can't really think of any other example where the entire album has stuck around so well.
Olivia Rodrigo had similar longevity as well (but starting from lower numbers, which may be either more or less impressive, I'm not sure). Great stability for Adele indeed though, truly continuing to flop at flopping.

If this is an underperformance I don’t know what the measure is for success. :lol: If 30 doesn’t at least match Divide for week 1 album streams it just highlights what a monster that album was.

 

Rooting for an Adele top 3 tomorrow in the charts. Can’t see Easy On Me losing a it’s less now until Christmas music takes over, unless Oh My God gets a proper promo push beforehand.

abcdefu has taken off unusually quickly on Amazon. I Drink Wine has held up reasonably well at #10; Oh My God is now #21 but still Adele's 3rd highest song.
