I think it's partly the new year effect (or coming up to it). Also Amazon appears to be less playlist influenced than Apple/Spotify. So you tend to see a lot of older songs in their chart.

 

The sheer lack of imagination in the GP that Ed Sheeran/Adele are dominating as usual while a song from summer 2018 and a song from late 2019 is in the top 20 on Amazon.

 

Depressing.

Can people PLEASE stop streaming the monstrosity that is Dance Monkey?
Surely its just as a result of the post-Christmas decline in streams that a few old hits are back?

Is the Apple chart usually littered with this many Xmas songs on the 27th?
Is the Apple chart usually littered with this many Xmas songs on the 27th?

They are all starting to drop now, quite a difference from when I checked this morning and now, there’s now only 3 Christmas songs in the top 14 and Ed and Adele now occupy the top 2.

When I checked Amazon this morning, Dance Monkey was #30 for me, not #11, same as now

at least in this link:

I have prime so that's probably why (there's two different charts IIRC, one with prime and one without?). "Dance Monkey" is #10 for me now. :lol:
