It looks like Gayle might have either the first or second #1 song of 2022 (depending on the Christmas song streams on Christmas Eve and Day).
praying seventeen going under has strong physical sales / push from sam and his team

I can’t see anything non Christmassy getting a look in next week. Last year I think the highest non Christmas song was Sweet Melody at #9 when only Christmas Day had fallen into the week, rather than Christmas Eve plus Christmas Day.

However the following week it seems unlikely that anything can beat Gayle at this point. It’s not like last year when it felt really wide open.

If it has been denied a Top 3 peak forever by Christmas songs that will be CRIMINAL!

How much are you being paid by Sam Fender to make this same post so many times in all seriousness xx

Love how ladbaby getting so much hate, he wasn't even going to do one this year but Ed Sheeran reached out to him  and we all know how much of a chart geek Ed is

Shame KC not gonna get a repeak, hopefully her new one at least goes top 40

I think Sam probably has avoided ACR he’s just been pushed out the top 20 by all the Christmas songs, he had a big increase last week and climbed 6 places into the top 10, I reckon he’s sitting just outside the top 20.

Not enough :(

Gayle looks certain to hit Number 1.

Will the new year eve chart not be more likely to be Ed/Elton or Wham that takes number one rather than Gayle?
Is Elton John the oldest person to have 3 charting songs in the top 20?
guess you mean another version. the #1 this week has never been in doubt, even before release :D
Is it time to start discussing the "comical" fall from no 1 for lababy next week?
I really like the original “Merry Christmas” so it’s a shame we have to have this rubbish sausage roll version eclipsing it. Couldn’t they have just said the sales of the original would go to the Trussell Trust, and maybe done a version featuring a LadBaby vocal that would be combined with it just to maintain the link? At the end of First Look Vick said “We’ve just played the same song twice”. Yep.
That Ariana & Kelly Clarkson song is an absolute banger. Really hope they give it a proper push next year as it has the potential to become a classic.

iTunes

1 = LadBaby - Sausage Rolls for Everyone (feat. Ed Sheeran & Elton John)

2 NEW LadBaby & The Food Bank Choir - Sausage Rolls for Everyone (Foodbank Choir)

3 -1 Ed Sheeran & Elton John - Merry Christmas

Sadly I don't think we'll see them emulate the 1-78 fall from last year or even 1-57 the year before, as this one is getting a few more streams. Low Top 40 perhaps...

Thank the lord for Adele’s comeback single that sausage roll crap won’t be the biggest weekly seller of the year again.
