Good on her for bagging a Mercury nomination! I know she was primarily aiming for acclaim with it and that's about as acclaimed as you can get.

Tying up with the Mercury Music Prize stuff next month, in JADE's e-mail today she has confirmed that this era is now officially OVER!

What a run it's been for us. Commercial success hasn't been completely on our side, but it's been ENOUGH for us to consider that the era has been an astounding success and the critical acclaim has been beyond anything I could comprehend for her. The critics really went all out for her and aside from the BRITs unfairly snubbing her (and changing the genre category so it was no longer fan voted lmao!), that seems to have been made up by the fact that the Mercury Music Prize actually considered her work important enough to give it a nomination.

It's truly been one hell of an era for her. The last one out the gate from the group and boy oh boy did she come SWINGING. Delivering us a genuine album of the Decade contender (for what it's worth, it is definitely mine!). One of the greatest debut albums ever, especially by an ex-pop group member. It's been amazing to see her get her flowers as an artist and really work out the perfect sound/what works for her and not playing it safe.

She has so much to be proud of. Now that the encore has had time to settle, next week marks the one year anniversary of the (original) albums release, we will be celebrating with a Least Album Track Survivor. So lets get excited for that!

What have you enjoyed the most about this album/era? A highlight for me is definitely the BRITs performance! Just phenomenal.
