So we have the final positions thread already, but what about those of us who have entered multiple times and have many repeated final positions, which one have you achieved the most times, and what song that reached that position is your favourite?

I’ll start with the only final position to have achieved more than once so far, and that is #11 which I achieved twice with Paradiso in BJSC 97 and Gryffin in the following contest BJSC 98. Of the two, the song I have enjoyed over the longer time is in fact by Gryffin and here is a reminder of this entry now;

So who wants to go next? ^_^

6th - there was a long time that it felt like my 'default' within the top 10 - I have now amassed 7 of them. I have also finished 1st, 4th, 5th and 12th 6 times each.

(all that and still no 9th place)

18th, which I've placed in on 5 separate occasions.

my fave of which being Oliver Moldan 'High & Low'.

Edit: Rank

1 Oliver Moldan 'High & Low'

2 Sandy Rivera 'Bang!'

3 Nora En Pure 'Trailblazer'

4 F.O.O.L 'Dystopia 2077'

5 Laurentiu Duta 'Shining Heart'

#18 finished six times!!

18 - 6 (The Cataracs - Top Of The World (feat. Dev); Tensnake - Mainline (feat. Syron); Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid; NOT A FLATSCREEN - Back; KAAZE - Opera (feat. Elle Vee); SHY Martin - Forget To Forget)

and I will do full rank:

01. Kai Tracid - Trance & Acid

02. Tensnake - Mainline (feat. Syron)

03. The Cataracs - Top Of The World (feat. Dev)

04. KAAZE - Opera (feat. Elle Vee)

05. NOT A FLATSCREEN - Back

06. SHY Martin - Forget To Forget

17th, 7 times.

I'll jump on the bandwagon of ranking them as well why not x

1 IC3PEAK - Grustnaya Suka

2 Vampire Weekend - Cousins (doesn't really feel like a BJSC song as this was before I really got into the spirit of the contest but as a song it's still a tune x)

3 Azari & III - Reckless (With Your Love)

4 Vacant - Hidden

5 raaginder - Rise

6 Machines Don't Care - Beat Dun Drop (feat. Meleka)

7 Elijah Blake - Give Me U

(those latter two would probably rank pretty lowly on my overall ranking of all of my entries, which I am long overdue doing another one of)

22nd with 5, I would rank them:

Power Glove - Crypt > Think Up Anger - Mutiny > Ex:Re - Romance > Aly & Fila - Quiet Storm > MOWE - Birds Flying High

I also have 4 12th places so one more and that will join them, I'm clearly attracted to the 2 numbers x

Oh I didn't even think to rank them. My 6th places are actually a rather FABULOUS bunch of songs it must be said. Rather difficult to order too, but at this precise moment it would go something like this:

Anna Bergendahl - Thelma and Louise

Kamferdrops - f*** You, Jah Alskar Dig

Kat Graham - Power

Charlotte Qvale - The Beginning of the End

Majid Jordan - Summer Rain

Quadron - Hey Love

Jerome Price - Me Minus You

Anamanaguchi ft. Bianca Raquel - Prom Night

Golden Boy & Miss Kittin - Rippin Kittin

Jockstrap - 50/50

Oliver ft. Scott Mellis - Electrify

Lido ft. They. - Not Enough

Ranked from fave to least fave

1 CHROM

2 Katty Heath

3 Ignea

4 Erika Jane

5 Jonathan Bree

6 Timecop1983 and Jessie Frye

7 Tunevaag & Raaban

8 MARNIK

9 Alice Gray

predictably staying true to the Cor Lupus brand of being the Maroon 5 of BJSC, my most common positions are at the lower echelons of the final rankings

#22:

Taryn Manning - GLTCHLFE

PAX (Paradise Auxillary)/Roxen - Over & Over

ARES - Burn

Kacy Hill - Hard To Love

-

#31:

HARD FEELINGS - Sister Infinity

Brielle - Catch A Star for You

Vetta Borne - Kissing Strangers

Visions Of Atlantis - The Deep & The Dark

3rd is mine, where I've landed nine times.

I'd rank them as follows:

Midnight Kids feat Annika Wells - Run It (This is still seriously epic. I thought it could have won but iirc the top four that month were all huge songs - gutted!)

Rivaz - Colors (this is also incredible and reminds me of my wonderful 2013 holiday to Denmark/Sweden to see Eurovision <3 It's just so euphoric)

Maria Haukaas Storeng & Mira Craig - Mine All Mine (legendary, and I love that my own upload of it is still the main one on Youtube, with 17k views)

Prance Faris - Flares

ishi vu - This is your Life

Capulets - Stranger Love

Pixie Lott - Boys & Girls

RL Grime - Because Of U

Ulf Nilsson - Little By Little (Lulleaux and George Whyman Remix) (surprised this did that well, maybe it was the first big BJSC tropical house hit?)

I stopped keeping tight track of placements, but I believe I've come 3rd twice? Leon and Majid Jordan (?)

I think I normally place all over the shop tbh!

I also have a three-way tie, each with three.

I have also ranked them.

4th

‘Resonate’ being my clear favourite here, maybe Alba will overtake The Wandering Hearts at some point, but it is still relatively new to ears.

16th

27th

So many good re-discoveries in this thread. Listening to Me Minus You now  Leo I can't believe Square Hammer was only 27th!?

I have a 3-way tie, 26th, 35th and 37th, with 3 each. Here are my rankings!

26th

Overcoats - Fire & Fury

Robinson - Don't Say

G Flip - Killing My Time

35th

Kat Dahlia - Crazy

Ladyhawke - Mixed Emotions

Holy Ghost! - Dance A Little Closer

37th

Avalanche City - Prayed For Love

Jocelyn Alice - Jackpot

PARRI$ - NASTY

love Quintessan 27th placers

For me, it's a tie between 10th (which was infamously my position for years although I haven't scored one for a long time) and 19th.

10th

The Cab - Angel With A Shotgun (Nightcore) - The quintessential nightcore track, I'm so proud to have this beauty in my back catalog. As far as the nightcore movement goes, maybe it could easily be dismissed as teenagers slapping anime girls over tracks turned up to 1.25 speed, but this mix completely reinvents the rather slow pop-rock track with some incredible lyrics. I love it.

Nightwish - Turn Loose The Mermaids - still one of the highlights of one of my favourite ever albums, I should find a point to enter them again maybe, that my only Nightwish entry is a ballad is a little weird, not bad, but unexpected. But in a way that does something new as they've definitely aged as a band in the interim.

Faun & Santiano - Tanz Mit Mir - one of the best German-language songs in existence, I wish there was more of this utterly joyful and ridiculous folk-pop around.

Ecstasy - Exhale - sadly not on any streaming services so I can't listen to it regularly but I think this is perhaps my best ever synthpop entry and has a few lyrics I often think about.

SEP - Galaxy - well below my other 10th placers, it ain't bad but it's more generic Scandipop from an era when I would send that.

19th

BABYMETAL - Road Of Resistance - a perfect 100th entry, and I'm so glad it got the position it did. Absolutely awesome song.

Tei Shi - Bassically - for people who don't regularly enjoy my entries this seems to pop up quite often as the one they do, so that's helped it a bit in this ranking, but I love this sort of indie-pop, drawing out the vocals for as long as possible. If only I could find unique tracks like this more often.

Alestorm - F**ked With An Anchor - LOL. That this is here is amazing, I love Alestorm to pieces and this is definitely the track that was right to send to BJSC in the end, a very inventive way of being as foul-mouthed as possible.

Ghost Data - T O M I E - Some very very good dance, and I definitely am happy sending it, but Ghost Data has so much other good stuff that maybe I should also have sent, he's so prolific

Cardiknox - Hold Me Down - Another early pop entry from me and I don't think it's aged well or that I've gone back to listen to it for ages.

I was also quite shocked to be reminded that 'Square Hammer' finished as low as 27th, I could have sworn I remembered it being at least top 20! (certainly deserved to be)
