Yet you complain that the Cat Burns song is too old

80s classics re-entering the charts are a rarity and besides, it’s much better than the tripe peddled out today

it was always gonna be #2 but still amazing <3 such a classic
Really hope Kate can get a reset as her getting #1 would be highlight of the year! this friday is gonna be such an interesting chart battle!

I... really wouldn't bank on the reset happening :kink:

according to this nme article, there are only 6K copies of the Sex Pistols single across 2 formats/labels

so will end up at around #75 come Friday

1,977 7″ copies of the A&M version of the single, which features the B-side ‘No Feeling’, will be made available, while 4000 7″ copies of the Virgin-released ‘God Save The Queen’ (featuring the B-side ‘Did You No Wrong’) will go on sale.

When is Harry on ACR?

maybe in 2 weeks...

There is no chart battle at all, she will never get a reset

and will 100% end up at #2, the top 2 is already on lock

enjoy the fact that she's at #2 <3

So if God Save The Queen will not be in the chart by Friday, that could let Peru back into the Top 10 and continue its top 10 streak
They did say "at number 5 it's God Save The Queen by The Sex Pistols" in the rundown.

New peak for RUTH(ADWG) incoming hopefully!

Why did I read this as Ruth and was questioning who Ruth was for a good few minutes till I realised

I'd have thought if they were going to reset Kate Bush, they already would have. It seems unlikely that Kate can accumulate at least 100,000+ sales this week so its unlikely she'll officially be number 1, but in actuality (ie without ACR) its a definite maybe as she can probably reach 65,000 (without ACR). Harry will probably decline compared to last week and so Kate will probably not have to get to 65,000 (without ACR) but will probably need 100,000 to 120,000 (with ACR) to do it officially.....

Shame they didn’t play the Sex Pistols really when it’s a track with so much history. You’d hope people could see it as harmless after all this time whether royalists or not (but I guess that’s too much to expect in 2022).

She is my sister lol

Much as I enjoy As It Was, I hate that it keeps denying what would be some incredible chart achievements - our first Eurovision entry at number 1 since the 90s and now what would be Kate Bush's overdue second number 1 and a repeak after over three decades, meh :/
Same. It's unfortunate as AIW is good but 10 weeks feels a bit much for it. I suppose it's not Ed on top right now for ages unlike last year but still Sam and Kate would have made for some fantastic number ones and adding to an already low number of #1's this year so far.

I was the same when I first saw it shortened to RUTH, I thought it was a reference to Ruth B. I know "Running Up That Hill" isn't that long to write really, but I usually use "Kate Bush" as the reference, except in this case she had a #1 so #2 would not be a new peak for her as an artist!
Becoming a lot more censored music these days for some reason!

Wellll if you’re referring to the Sex Pistols & The Kunts being censored on Radio 1, I don’t think it would have been different at any other time in the last 50 years.

With all these classic songs entering or re-entering due to Netflix and Disney+ etc, I was hoping for Top Gun to send "Danger Zone" into the top 40
