Massive hit over the festive period thanks to a Frankie Knuckles remix which effectively meant that two versions were being actively promoted.

Hinting at the Garage domination of the early 00s this of course helped to launch Craig David into the pop world.

Two decent songs but wouldn't have been anywhere near points.

Craaaaig Davvvid. That one is alright too.

'Stay' (Shakespear's Sister rather than Sash!) and 'Finally' was a polar opposite top 2 in terms of mood but both hit a sweet spot for me *.*

Starting to lose songs a bit more quickly now, albeit only a couple of single figure pointers there - 'Finally' is another one I'm quite surprised to see this low for similar reasons to 'Gypsy Woman', both radio staples that I would have expected to get decent pointage from quite a lot more people than they did! That's a decent showing for Artful Dodger though.

Not a huge fan of the Toni Braxton song, it's a bit overblown.

BRINGING YOU ALL SERIOUS NEWS- THE FIRST 30 POINTER IS ON THE HORIZON OVER THE WEEKEND

Finally is a dance classic! Fantastic track that still holds up well.

Re-Rewind is decent but not my favourite from Craig.

I’m not really a fan of Un-Break My Heart, I agree that it’s overblown.

Fortunately someone likes Un-Break My Heart :D prefer the original, but the remix was a pleasant alternative and helped it to 11 weeks in the Top 5 where it outlasted six #1s over that time. Re-Rewind was yet another 1999 #2 that wasn't far off my votes.

I enjoy both versions of Un-Break My Heart too (although they're a bit different), wasn't far off my votes. Good amount of votes for Artful Dodger and Craig David!
Finally is a cinema classic - Priscilla! Unbreak My Heart a plodder as a ballad, it was the remix I liked, and Craig David Dodger was OK. :)
I can't say I was aware a remix of 'Un-Break My Heart' existed...! (fairly certain the version I know is the original anyway)
Un-Break My Heart an R&B classic and unfortunately Leigh Francis using Bo Selecta for his greedy needs and his racist exaggerated impression of Craig David, I were Craig, I would have knocked him out.

oh never knew there was a remix of Unbreak my Heart, love love love the original

it's a real sad depressing song, and love the idea of "unbreaking a heart" when someone's played with your feelings

you gotta love Diane Warren's ballads

This is the classic dance mix:

It was played on Radio 1 a lot at the time (and on the chart show often - I have a tape of the chart in February 1997 with this remix being played)

I think a lot of stations still play that version, Heart being one of them. I prefer it too, a rare good dance remix of a song that was originally a ballad.

I didn't think I knew the dance remix but now i've just played it it does sound familiar.

I've definitely heard the slow ballad version more though.

Def think the Craig David one is a classic of the garage genre which is why it got a few votes from me!£
