Given the shock exits I don't think predictions will be at all accurate.

A number of these songs are 90s essentials of any chart peak...not just number 2

I will not be tolerating any Stardust hate. Music Sounds Better With You is a little repetitive, yes, however that's because what it is repeating is pure gold and it's one of the most inspired examples of sampling. It was the sound of 1998 for me, it was absolutely everywhere in the clubs and set the trend for many similar sampling songs that followed - and it still makes me grin from ear to ear when I hear it

That said, given so many are saying they aren't fond, I too would expect it to drop out next

Oh and I have 9/10 left - wooo!

I have only 7/10 left but 6 songs out of my top 7. :P

A Design For Life Light to go next please ;)

:o I suddenly have more faith in 'Common People' winning too if some voters didn't know 'Justified and Ancient'. Take a trip to mu mu land pronto!!
Well to balance it out, I don't think I'm familiar with 'Common People'...!

No rate win for Madonna this time as she exits here. This is our second favourite No 2 of 1998 and the highest placed by any Female soloist.

'Ray of Light' that's the last of my top 10 gone now and considering it just about finished in 10th.. I'm relieved it got there. I was hoping she'd be a couple of spots higher though.

Oh wow that is a surprise! 2 points is low enough to be my least favourite in the top 10, so that start is lining up with my taste pretty well.

Still a good song though and the accompanying album is an all-time great for me as aforementioned

So, only Tammy Wynette and the girls from Alice Deejay representing women now.

Hmmm Chez and Jim also didnt vote for Ray of Light and were still tied at #6

was expecting Ray of light a bit higher, still a decent show

Agreed, it’s great but nowhere near my favourite on the album. That would be The Power Of Goodbye.

Joint 5th with Dandy* now!

Ray Of Light didn't quite make my vote but it's my favourite song from its parent album. I like that Madonna went further down the dance route with the Music album, with the William Orbit-produced Amazing my fave from that one.

8/9 left, although the one left I didn't vote for appears to be one of the favourites which was news to me!
