So looks like 26/27k this week….streaming improvements made up the reduction in physical sales and downloads held up well.

I’m surprised that we don’t seem to have any remixes out tomorrow. It’s going into its seventh week now, dropping a new remix every week could really help the songs chart position.

She essentially confirmed on Today Show in the US today that Vegas is happening.

 

They asked if she was touring and she said ‘There is a song on my album called Vegas High and that’s all I’m saying’ :drama:

Not surprising and certainly explains the US push this is getting.

Great if overall streaming can even keep increasing by even 1 unit for the next few weeks to avoid acr.

If Robbie can do a residency I see no reason why Kylie with more hits than him over there cannot.

No new remixes/versions have appeared on Spotify Australia so unless they do something midweek then it’s another week like the one we have just had.

I'm still stumped how it suddenly stalled at 26 on Spotify. For the record: I'm so so super happy that in 2023, we're actually discussing a Kylie song being in the UK top 10. But just suddenly surprised that it just stalled for no reason. I presume in this streaming age, it's just getting the word out to the casual listener (which apparently TV and radio isn't as effective anymore).

They just played Wow on Radio 1...

 

Afterwards the DJ said that when he was feeling down he put on a bit of Kylie to cheer him up. Then they mentioned Get Outta My Way and Padam.

CD is back in stock I think? So go go go if you want one for yourself, your sister, your mum, your dog, your imaginary friend...

Thanks. I like that American hosts these days are doing their homework and mentioned the UK #1 album in 5 decades thing. She looked great and glad she took a break from red!

Completely agree. BUT all but today’s downloads have already been counted, and there’s no sign of a major download boost today (she tops Amazon and iTunes but only with 1 version - indicating her downloads are steady). Remember, at this stage, a higher percentage of sales have been counted compared with streams. Video streams count for very little overall (and Kylie has plummeted from 2 at the start of the week to outside the top 20 in the latest 2 days).

 

There are only two hopes, and I think that each of them is unlikely. 1) The gap between the 2 songs on Apple is much wider than the 1 place suggests. 2) BMG have a large number of sales that they have not submitted yet - this is more likely, but it doesn’t currently seem as if there is any evidence of this.

 

Remember also that Amazon streaming figures for Thursday will count. REACT is 5 places above Padam Padam.

 

 

I’m still hoping for a climb to number 7! But that will be the bonus. The main goal is staying at number 8 ahead of Hannah Laing. For reasons I won’t go into right now, Hannah Laing has a greater chance of being above Kylie, than Kylie does of being above Switch Disco. Kylie should stay ahead, but it will be closer than most people realise.
