UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-4-7-11-21-26-32-46-69-X-63 (17 weeks)

Crashing out in the very first round it's English pop duo Robson & Jerome with their version of the eternal Unchained Melody. The pair were originally actors on the TV show Soldier Solider where they performed a cover of the classic, leading to the music industry's favourite mogul Simon Cowell signing them up and enlisting them on a Stock/Aitken reworking. It was accompanied by a further cover of White Cliffs of Dover, made famous by Vera Lynn in 1942. The double A-side entered at #1 where it stayed for 7 straight weeks and became the best selling single of the year. They still have another song (or songs) in the running but time will tell how long it/they can survive.
