Because it's everywhere and inescapable on a level none of the others are.

This exactly. It's easily the one that's overplayed to the highest degree.

Queen of Supermarket Radio in December :cheeseblock:

I didn't know UK shops and supermarkets played AIWFCIY more frequently in December than Last Christmas or FONY!

At this point I think it's possible that AIWFCIY is probably the song I've heard more times in my life than any other.
It's the best Christmas song so it deserves to be played a lot at this time of year.
Don’t understand why people complain about AIWFCIY over saturation but not Last Christmas, Fairytale of New York or frankly any of the other classics. Seems just targeted at Mariah.

Sexism tbh!! The OCC destroyed her chart chances year in, year out, till they built up a MALE rival to her, then gave them HER RECORD!!!, which they now keep harping on about in order to diminish her success!!! Sexist TWUNTS.

I hope Mariah pulls through another week at Number 1 to be honest.
Sam Ryder has sold 15k so far and is 10k ahead of sza at 2.

Agreed OCC are frankly sexist! East 17's Stay Another Day beat Mariah fair and square back in the day and would be #1 again now if they weren't incessantly promoting her records and downgrading their's because they are all men. Sexist TWUNTS.

He would’ve easily got Xmas #1 album if he released this Friday instead

It's all of them for me. Oops. None of them are on my Xmas playlists coz I'm guaranteed to hear all of them at some point out and about... Plus I'm not really a fan of any of them (or Slade and Paul McCartney which get played to death too) bar Mariah - but overexposure has killed it somewhat for me.

I have a couple of 'Last Christmas' covers on my playlist but I don't want FONY anywhere near.

Tinashe - O Holy Night and God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen deserve to become Christmas staples tbh.

as explained 75 times already
I think the rest seem pretty natural in terms of their saturation, but with Mariah especially this last few years she has been endlessly pushing AIWFCIY.

I think it is fair to complain about something that has had so much promotion over the years. I'm sure deep down she probably hates the song now too but it is her cash cow and she has milked it as hard as possible and continues to do so.

All I Want for Christmas Is You would be huge no matter how hard Mariah milked it, she doesn't have to do any of it, so suggesting she hates the song is a strange take with no substantial evidence.

To me, Mariah's similarly overexposed as most of the Christmas songs when it comes to hearing them out and about. I can't say I hear it any more or less than Last Christmas and a few of the others. Of course, I like Mariah's song significantly more and I'm not remotely bored of it but I can understand people being fed up of the same old Christmas songs.

I didn't dispute it would be big whatever but her constantly pushing it and pushing herself as Queen of Christmas has just added to the over exposure. I don't follow Mariah but I know it has several videos, she has done tv adverts, performs it at the opening of an envelope.

The rest of the big Christmas songs are just left to do their thing by the artists.

Mariah the so-called 'Saviour of All Christmas' back in the charts with the music video which has had that creepy kid with the dark hair dancing around her with a group of children wearing a Xmas hat and a beard who looks like a thug

Yes, Christmas on Buzzjack isn't compete without this annual reference to the creepy kid in the Mariah vid!
