Well that is rather depressing. I think as ever it all comes down to where Christmas Day falls each year. This year's Christmas chart won't include the 23rd or 24th in its data which will be massive for Wham and Mariah etc. Easily the worst Christmas number 1 of all time!

looks like 5 shit xmas #1s in a row. uugh someone whack him over the head with a shovel every november so he cant record another shit song

All I want for Christmas is for Sam Ryder to have a second top 40 song but knowing his fortune it will end up at #42.
"Hi guys! It's Wednesday and we just wanted to come on and give you an update as lots of you have been asking us how the chart race is going. Don't forget to download all 6 copies of our song remember guysssss it's the best to donate to the charities 100% of your money goes to them!. We don't want to lose the race against Mariah Carey!"

the k*nts put it perfectly - he really is the sausage roll c*nt

Today, the Official Charts Company can confirm that LadBaby stays 12,000 chart units ahead of its nearest competition, and the UK's current Number 1 single, Wham!'s Last Christmas.

But the 2022 winner isn't a foregone conclusion yet. Overnight, Wham! have added a massive 8,200 chart units to their total, while LadBaby's impassioned push for fans to download Food Aid rolled out a new version featuring Bents Green School.

IS THAT WHAT THE GRIFTERS ACTUALLY SAID?!

Not yet but that's what they've said for the previous 2 days after each chart update so we will get another beg video later

So they'll be fine to lose it to Wham!

Get Streaming :D

YASSSS PREACHHHHHHHHHHHH @merry yetmas i know you love mariah endlessly but please just for us to stop flopbaby stream wham too xoxo <3

Unless LadBaby release another version I would say it’s not quite over yet. Missing data probably means it’s a lot closer than it looks

we might even get 2 beg videos before the final chart!

I might stream Wham on silent and alternate between them and Mariah, Queen of Christmas on Spotifee!

i thought silent streams dont count?

I actually don't think so - next year I think someone would put up a fight and I don't see where they go from here really anyway.

I am not sure about rival tracks, as most labels/artists don’t want to intentionally fight a charity song. Given the backlash we are starting to see and worse performance this year, I can’t see a 6th attempt being received well. Let him get the record for most Xmas #1s and call it a day.

Everybody simply has to get behind Wham instead of splitting the anti-ladbaby sentiment 10 different ways

yes exactly this.

There's always a Buzzjack Christmas campaign next year....

Love to see that happen.

If only the Kunts and Sidemen and so on could ask everyone to download Wham! tomorrow! If I were any sort of influencer I’d definitely be asking my followers to do that. It’s likely to be pretty close - Wham! should do another 22k or so on streaming without anyone pushing for anything, meaning LadBaby need to sell another 10k. That’s probably doable for them but not absolutely guaranteed, and a relatively modest download push for Wham! could make it quite a lot harder for them.

Y'know if all the folks apparently so against LadBaby cruising to #1 again united to buy all 30 copies of Fuck The T*ries (up to #8 today) it might just be enough to do something  (but of course they won't do that)

That would probably help Wham do it hopefully they realise and do that tomorrow

but why buy that song when its not posing a threat to ladbaby?

I guess my point is this: the download market is dead. Everyone’s realising that including LadBaby. You can’t get 30k downloads out of nowhere, but just a couple of k for the song in second place (which I may happen to have a bet on  ) could make the difference.
