January 16, 20232 yr I just find it insane that after all these years it’s going to be her biggest debuting hit across the world! Miley and Shakira made history as for the first time excluding christmas songs, the top 2 worldwide had over 10 million streams
January 16, 20232 yr That's quite a reach. Lady GaGa and Melanie C are very versatile, too. :coffee: Gaga is literally looking at you like wtf at your comment :lol:Or maybe that's just Liam's opinion?
January 17, 20232 yr It's an instant classic  Very happy to see Miley have a huge hit with this straight out of the gate!
January 17, 20232 yr (if you ignore Bizarrap being the lead artist on the Shakira song) I didn’t think of that lol!
January 17, 20232 yr Or maybe that's just Liam's opinion? Good for him, I guess nobody else is allowed to have one if they disagree otherwise I don’t get your comment?
January 17, 20232 yr 958k on Spotify UK yesterday, 15.7M worldwide, that is INSANE.. 8M higher than its debut day on day 4!!!! Edited January 17, 20232 yr by Starlight 13
January 17, 20232 yr I believe 4th highest global total for a non-christmas song. I wonder how high it can go?
January 17, 20232 yr I believe 4th highest global total for a non-christmas song. I wonder how high it can go? 1. Easy On Me 19.8M 2. Anti-Hero 17.4M 3. Lavender Haze 16.4M 4. As It Was 16.1M 5. Flowers 15.8M Wouldn't be surprised if it increased even further tomorrow though, up 44% on the day priors streams worldwide!! :cheer:
January 17, 20232 yr Good for him, I guess nobody else is allowed to have one if they disagree otherwise I don’t get your comment?“Wtf at your comment”… just quite abrasive and I found it quite rude tbh.
January 17, 20232 yr I wonder if Miley is the next Madonna?! Her competition: GaGa and Beyoncé. Rihanna was competition, till she quit for fashion like Posh Spice, and Katy Perry was competition pre-flop. That leaves only three next Madonnas! Well, five with Taylor Swift and Ariana. God, charts music gets worse anf worse though. Boring, plodding mid-tempos, like this, get all the press, and bops like Mother's ... Daughter? massively flop!
January 17, 20232 yr Also #1 on pre orders! I really didn’t expect this to be as huge as it is but the song is so effortless, she’s really made herself remain in the spotlight with her covers giving her media coverage! Thank god she left RCA!
January 17, 20232 yr “Wtf at your comment”… just quite abrasive and I found it quite rude tbh. I found yours quite rude too so works both ways I guess.
January 17, 20232 yr Still can't quite believe how big is already turning out tbh. Fab for her after such longevity. I suppose I should have seen it coming as the more I hear it, the more it does sound like something radio would eat up a lot even more than MS tbh which in itself sounded like big radio cannon too!
January 18, 20232 yr I'm a little late to the comparisons or discussion but I'm starting to hear When I Was Your Man in this now.
January 18, 20232 yr 1. :cheer: Now at #3! Insane it’s close to overtaking Anti Hero considering that was dropped with the album too!
January 18, 20232 yr I'm hoping she doesn't just let this era die prematurely like she did with both Bangerz and Plastic Hearts (or in the case of Bangerz kill it stone dead with a stupid single choice when it was going so well and had further potential)
January 18, 20232 yr I'm hoping she doesn't just let this era die prematurely like she did with both Bangerz and Plastic Hearts (or in the case of Bangerz kill it stone dead with a stupid single choice when it was going so well and had further potential) The new label seem a lot more invested than RCA which is a great sign. Here's hoping! Also agree that her live performances and covers bought a lot goodwill from the GP. The song being great, beautifully sung and with inspired but universal lyrics also helps.
