January 7, 20233 yr Think I’ll stay out of the mids this week - Lewis is already pushing hard on socials for the #1, there will be a BuzzJack meltdown if/when he gets it
January 7, 20233 yr Author Think I’ll stay out of the mids this week - Lewis is already pushing hard on socials for the #1, there will be a BuzzJack meltdown if/when he gets it  are the CDs just being released this week then? obviously he'll go to #1 whenever those come out (assuming the label can make up as many sales as he needs to get there)
January 7, 20233 yr He’s also had a boost and is currently #1, #2 and #23 on iTunes, with the signed CD’s I can see it going top 10 easily, maybe even top 5
January 7, 20233 yr are the CDs just being released this week then? obviously he'll go to #1 whenever those come out (assuming the label can make up as many sales as he needs to get there) They are out on January 13th - can see them being pulled forward if it looks like he’s on course for #1 (Can’t remember if it was him or anther artist that pulled forward physicals too secure the #1 too not long ago).
January 7, 20233 yr Yeah he’ll probably wait until the Monday mids and see where he is, if #1 is in sight I’m sure he’ll push them forward Still think it’s unlikely he’ll get #1 he’s still way off on streaming
January 7, 20233 yr are the CDs just being released this week then? obviously he'll go to #1 whenever those come out (assuming the label can make up as many sales as he needs to get there) I don't understand what's going on here? Do you guys really think he can sell 30,000 CDs? That just seems completely absurd to me. Did his previous singles sell that many in one week before? I think he'll sell about 10,000 and be boosted into the top 10.
January 7, 20233 yr Lewis needs a big boost on Spotify to even be looking at top 5.Can’t imagine the iTunes sales are equating to more than a few hundred downloads.
January 7, 20233 yr I don't understand what's going on here? Do you guys really think he can sell 30,000 CDs? That just seems completely absurd to me. Did his previous singles sell that many in one week before? I think he'll sell about 10,000 and be boosted into the top 10. He said there were 6k and they sold in about 2 hours and they seemed to keep adding more - 99p and free delivery got people buying and it also appeared on deal sites etc., so he could have shifted a large amount. From ‘Forget Me’ he sold 5,561 CDs, and 2,889 vinyl but the CDs were £3.99 and the vinyl £7.99 or £9.99 I think?
January 7, 20233 yr He has a stack saved from Christmas but the amount available kept increasing every day but I would guess 4.5K. Edited January 7, 20233 yr by Chloe00x
January 7, 20233 yr Why is 30,000 always the cursed number *_* (that is actually pretty much exactly how many he'd need to get to #1 based on the gap last week as well - I think it's far-fetched but if 'Overpass Graffiti' could do it then it's not impossible I guess) Where do people think Gabrielle Aplin will debut with her new album? It's nearly exactly 3 years after her last album which got to #24 with 3.3k for context. Not sure how the format availability etc. compares but I would take a wild guess at it being maybe around the teens at best?
January 7, 20233 yr I'm pretty sure the amount of cds lewis has is 10,500 from my calculations. That with the itunes boost should push him into the top 5
January 7, 20233 yr i'm expexting celestial style position for pointless and then dropping back to the nid teens the week after :kink:
