UK Chart Run: 1-1-1-6-11-18-18-17-19-24-27-30-33-44-31-27-34-48-61-X-54-56-63-75 (23 weeks)

A very close round but just like London buses, 2 come along together. Quickly following the departure of Say You'll Be There we have the Spice Girls' next chronological single also taken from their debut album. After their first 2 upbeat tracks went to #1, they slowed down the tempo for this wintery ballad but still saw great success, the song becoming their third consecutive #1 single and grabbing the Christmas #1 for 1996 to boot. Unprecedented chart success would follow for the Spices, with 9 of their first 10 singles all reaching the top spot. As such, expect to see them appear again very soon!

Business end time now, final 4.

Very unexpected, thought the finale would be Children vs 2 Become 1

Gina G for me

Oh wow, this was a close round, that was well behind when I last looked!

I'm coming across like a real Spice hater here, but I think it has to be Wannabe now (it's very close between all of them bar Children though)

Say You'll Be There not making the Top 5 from these choices?! :drama:

Wannabe is not better than 2 Become 1, oops Buzzjack.

Voted for that again although Gina G would be my next choice anyway.

Well consider me pleasantly surprised that '2 Become 1' jumped straight from getting barely any votes to being out  'Wannabe' is definitely the best of the 3 here and I'm still surprised to learn that is apparently a controversial take!

Joining the Gina G voters now.

Travesty once again that this has left before 'Wannabe'!

Yes, Wannabe should’ve been the first of the three Spice Girls songs out, not the last one left.

I'm surprised some others are validating my opinion here tbh (although not enough for Wannabe to still be ranked the highest of the three lol)

Not to say they aren't three very solid pop songs, nor is Wannabe the worst of the Spice Girls singles. Just the worst of those three imo.

This!

But Wannabe is still better then … well, all the ones left.
