Yep really thought Kate would go top 10 - and with her position revealed all of my top 12 artists gone. Top 3 albums for her are The Dreaming, The Red Shoes and The Kick Inside. Favourite songs - Leave it Open, Wuthering Heights (new vocal), Moments of Pleasure

 

Although RUTH is an absolute classic, I never was fully on board with the Stranger Things resurgence, partly because I never watched it and partly I kind of wished another song got a revival as that had already had its time in the sun (and the Olympic renaissance). But still very pleased for her (and to get top 3 in the USA after never going above no.30 during her whole career meant a grave injustice was partially redeemed).

Quite surprising that Kate Bush hasn't landed higher than she did last time. I can't profess to be that familiar with her music, I mainly only know the few obvious big hits and a handful of others that have been in song contests on here, but she is consistently great from what I have heard and very high up the list of artists I really ought to listen to more from.

I still feel I need to check out more from Kate, but Hounds of Love is one of my favourite ever albums and Wuthering Heights one of my favourite songs so she'd definitely have charted highly for me :wub:

Aw at Kelly missing top 10 but I understand her voice isn't for everybody and likewise with Kate but she has a lot of classics outside of just RUTH for me.

 

Also like a handful of Ariana and Mariah songs also!

Shame Kate Bush didn't climb but least she didn't drop either. Although dropping its still a decent result for Kelly clarkson.

So Katy and Dua did happen to drop out together then just two positions higher :lol:

 

Dua just missing top ten is impressive considering she’s just two albums in! Definitely a top ten contender for the next rate if her next era goes as well as Future Nostalgia.

 

Katy’s always been inconsistent with me. She’s always been capable of getting it right and each of her albums have a handful of tracks that are strong (Teenage Dream and Prism being the best of those albums) but she can be very patchy and her live performances have never moved me either. I actually think she did well to remain stable at #12 but I know how fondly Teenage Dream in-particular is remembered as being amongst the best female albums of the 2010s.

My favourites from Dua are Physical, New Rules and, as a collab, Scared To Be Lonely.

Dua only two albums in this high!! Still i prefer her to Katy who would be around the 100 mark for me!!

Impressive climb for Dua! I thought her first album was patchy but Future Nostalgia was a huge step up and her tour last year was great fun to attend <3

Surprised Katy held up there! I loved her first two albums, and Never Really Over, she was so huge for a few years, when I imagined she’d be a one hit wonder based on I Kissed A Girl.

 

I love both of those, and they were very close in my vote. Dua has probably been the best female star of the last five years for me, she has rarely missed.
