Looks like a pretty dead week (as far as releases likely to make any chart impact anyway).

NMF top 10:

1 Davido/Musa Keys

2 Cat Burns

3 Georgia

4 Maisie Peters

5 Chlöe/Future

6 Thomas Headon

7 Jungle/Erick The Architect

8 Nabihah Iqbal (Summericia's impakt!)

9 Kwengface/Giggs

10 boygenius - Cool About It

Bizarrely no sign of Tyler, The Creator on there at all... maybe something will appear when the rest of his deluxe album comes out in a few hours.

I also see Camden Cox's 'Gold' is on the NMF list, unless it's a different song with the same title, that came out like 6 years ago...

I think Melanie Martinez could surprise - a couple of her songs have gone viral on Tik Tok but then, I've said this before and it's my fyp just pushing them out lol

Strange that it's not tagged as a new version then (and I see the original is still on Spotify).
AOTGYLB by Taylor added to HHUK at 25.

Makes sense for this to get more of a push I suppose, considering how well it has stuck around to date.

Definitely looking lead a dead week overall still.

I do think you are the more obsessive one, I can't recall a single post of yours that isn't about Ed Sheeran tbh.

No one is saying he's over, he's not, yes some may be more hyperbolic but it is a come down from previous success. That's all, but continue throwing out non comparable artists like Little Mix who although huge never received dizzying heights of succes that Ed did or Steps just because people on here like them. It's weird.

Because when Steps lastest single doesn't chart or their album leaves the chart after 2 weeks we don't have endless posts saying how they used to get top 5 single after top 5 single or their albums used to be in the chart for months so they are underperforming or flopping. Yet several posters in particular feel the need to constantly downplay anything Ed does or label him flopping the moment he isn't number 1 on every metric.

I don't think you realise just how ridiculous you come across so often.

No one is downplaying his success, of course he's huge, it's just he hasnt done as well this time round.

I don't think I come across as ridiculous at all, you're the one very passionate and angry about it all!

No most are hoping/enjoying he is past his absolute highs, that is a big difference.

It just gets so tiresome to read posters who celebrate the success of say Sweet Melody going to number 1 for one week on the lowest sales for a number 1 in a decade, then decide 1 week at number 1 (potentially) on decent sales is nothing to write home about and a sign Ed is over.

Respectably, this a very odd comparison of a song that went to #1, what? 2 years ago. Regardless of the sales it took for #1, it got there naturally regardless after 10 weeks of almost making it (I think it was the #1 song without Christmas songs for a while), and didn't use any tricks to get there. Ed is doing perfectly well, but wouldn't be debuting at #1 without physicals, which none of his previous #1s needed - it's fine to discuss that, just like many did when Little Mix exited their imperial phase, too - as most acts do :)

I'm so happy that Ed is tanking. He's gotten away with making the most unbearably bland and sometimes irritating music for too long (especially since Shape of You) also he's one of the most fraudulent artists out there and he's so cocky too.

The fact he's now relying on signed copies to get to No.1 and the predicted sales are still low is so funny to me.

Hopefully this encourages him to actually change things up for once - start making songs that wouldn't want to make people cut off their ears.

Welcome to.2023 where scoring a number 1 single is tanking

Fab for Nabihah to be in the top 10 on new music :o some two months after winning BJSC and getting some big support. I doubt it'll actually be a hit of any kind though but very promising for her.
Calvin and Ellie released the church version of miracle earlier today

Surely it’s there’s next week!

Yasssss!!! :cheer:

With a less than 1k gap behind Miley this week, that will make all the difference.
