13. Shanti / Ashtangi // 6.75 average

Highest: one 9 // Lowest: three 5s

This is last place for me on the album but still a solid 7/10. There's actually quite a few hooks here, despite not recognising what is being said, and I really like heavy, hypnotic production.

I thought that one was decent enough, gave it an 8, wasn't my least fave though and I like the music style of it too.

Not sure how i know the words to Shanti lol, was always going to come last.

 

I have a feeling that Mer Girl will be next but i hope it isnt

I have to really be in the right mood to enjoy that one.

Fully expected this track to be out first.

 

It's actually not that bad a track and could probably be rating as good - but up against the other tracks here it was always going to fall.

 

Agree! A great track but going off the strength of the album, it was always going to falter. I love the experimentation of it from such a huge pop star.

I agree that such a amazing song on the album.I love it.

I guess that was always the obvious last place... albeit I really enjoy it these days and a couple of others have slipped behind it now. The production feels really appropriate for the subject matter - although I accept that's a UK view... apparently Madge doesn't actually do a good job with the language according to those who speak it.

Ahhh I didn’t vote in this but Mer Girl would have been high up for me!

I didn’t take part as I barely know the album and one listen through wouldn’t be fair but Frozen is my all time favourite Madonna song. So I’m here for that winning.

Definitely not the worst (least good) song on the album, but I can see why it has come last due to not being in English.

The standard was so high that my lowest score was a 7 and ’Shanti / Ashtangi’ received one of the four I dished out, so not too fussed about it exiting first

 

12. Mer Girl // 6.975 average

Highest: one 9.5 // Lowest: two 5s

^ shame , was hoping this would beat CPG

 

this track is just spine tingling

I’m all for Sky Fits Heaven to be the highest non single

'Mer Girl' is haunting. A stunning end to the album but it isn't one that I can return to outside the context of the album so I am not fussed that it has fared lower here.
