Enjoying this station, songs from The Adverts and Karl Denver I had never heard of before, songs such as Videotheque by Dollar that I haven't heard in over 30 years and some bizarre ones such as Catherine Zeta Jones. Had 3 Go West songs today which is far too much of them for one day thanks. Overall, well worth a listen for us chart fans.

Heard The Danger Of A Stranger by Stella Parton yesterday. Yes, Dolly's sister. Only reached 37 but haven't heard it in decades! Great stuff.

Also I don’t think This Christmas by Jess Glynne is on Spotify yet

Thanks, not sure how I missed that one, added to the “nos” list

This is as good as I can do for you - my playlist of every top 40 single available on Spotify since 2000, and I keep it up to date every week:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2y48xKoI7...fdd9fecf07c4e89

I also have a list of every song not on Spotify from the past 3 decades, if there are any oversights you find please let me know. Hope this is useful

Great list, thanks, very useful playlist to have.

A few more additions, some have been added recently:

Sid Owen – Good Thing Going – 2000 (

)

Buffalo G – We’re Really Saying Something – 2000 (

)

Madison Avenue – Everything You Need – 2001 (

)

Jo Breezer – Venus and Mars – 2001 (

)

Preeya Kalidas – Shakalaka Baby – 2002 (

)

Mad’Donna – The Wheels on the Bus – 2002 (

) - this is down as Mother Goose Rocks, but it's the hit version

Jessica Garlick – Come Back – 2002 (

)

3SL – Take It Easy – 2002 (

)

Mel Blatt – Do Me Wrong – 2003 (

)

Daz Sampson – Teenage Life – 2006 (

)

Alexa Goddard – Turn My Swag On – 2010 (https://open.spotify.com/track/0T5HbPuu9WMb5J7FHF8S9U?si=cfe194171b2a4b02) - unsure if this is the mix that charted though

I can't believe the amount of songs missing by big artists, some I guess are one-off covers like George Michael, Adele, Arctic Monkeys etc, but why is so much Bloc Party stuff missing? And some of the X Factor No.1s.

Great, thanks for the great feedback and for these updates, I will get them added. The list was done as I was putting the playlist together so pleasing to see that more are being added. As you say it is strange that so many big songs are missing

The Adele one is a live recording from an iTunes Festival EP so somewhat understandably is exclusive to Apple (well, iTunes at least, I assume it's on Apple Music too as the libraries of that and iTunes are usually the same afaia).

Metallica and Cyndi Lauper were the first two for me today with songs from 96 & 95 respectively!

'Romeo and Juliet' by Dire Straits currently on ^_^

Pizzaman - Sex On The Streets now :lol: actually a solid 90's rave dance track!

Jade would approve of 'Day Tripper' being played today :kink:

'Hippy Hippy Shake' following is fab too :music:

Great to hear 'Color The World' by Sash! Also heard 'Firestarter' and Scorpions 'Send Me An Angel', 'Heaven Is A Place On Earth' & 'Downtown' in the past couple of hours!

The sonic whiplash provided by this station :lol:

From the lovely Ode To My Family by The Cranberries from 1994 onto ragtime piano number Sing It Again With Joe by Joe Henderson from 1955...slight change of pace and style.

Had this on for a bit earlier, my favourite was hearing The Cranberries Ode To My Family. Stunning.

The Drifters are on now i've tuned in again lol.

I wonder what percentage of top 40 hits have been Christmas songs lol
hadn't heard that Billy Joel song before but that sounded rather good though unsurprising that it's not one of his 'classics'

phew at the original Groovy Kind of Love showing up now over the Phil Collins cover

(and now we've finally got a 50s song I think I'll drop off for now)

Goodnight Saigon is absolutely one of Billy Joel's all time classics! Most fans would consider it one of their favourites.
