We had a nail-biting tie for most of the past 24 hours but it was broken in time to not need a standalone tie-break round. This has resulted in 'Love Me Harder' narrowly missing a place in the top 5. This single was the first time that Ariana and The Weeknd worked together. Little did the two of them know they'd become serial collaborators in time. Ari was ahead of the curve here as The Weeknd would not achieve his break-out solo top 10 'Earned It' until the following year. There was a huge disparity between the U.S. and U.K. chart positions for 'Love Me Harder', as it missed the top 40 here, but charted as high as #7 across the pond. The departure of this single means 'Break Free' is the last one standing from the My Everything era.

That's not the way the tie was supposed to be broken </3

Still going for 'Break Free' ofc. Heavily rooting for a 'no tears left to cry'/'God is a woman'/'Rain On Me' top 3 though, they're leagues clear of the other two left.
