May 18, 20232 yr oh just noticed Florence at #21, that's insane! kinda sad at the same time, cos all singles from the last 2 albums missed the t40, 3 albums ago 2 singles made the top 20 but the highest peaked at #27... and now just cos of a movie, an oldie is gonna chart higher than anything from the last 10 years ..but what an oldie to do it! :heart:

May 18, 20232 yr If Loreen is around 2k or less away from #1 I hope she does a big social media push. Wouldn't be too hard to convince the Eurovision fans to get a few versions. Her only chance for a #1. I'd be begging on social media as much as Indie UK bands during a #1 album battle if I were her lol

May 18, 20232 yr I thought streams didn't count towards the compilation chart? For some reason I think Eurovision is treated like it's a TV show soundtrack, I guess it essentially is but it's a special case, so it does get the streams attached of songs from it. Even though Now could hypothetically release Now That's What I Call Eurovision 2023 with all the same songs and it presumably wouldn't count. The 2022 compilation last year has 7,258 sales-equivalent streams on its week at No.1, so I'd expect this year's compilation to be No.1 for sure with the uplift in songs doing well from the contest: http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=254838

Although am I right in thinking that Apple Music reports on time, so it's partly true, or are they all delayed by a day? I hope Mae can hang on, I'd imagine if anybody will be knocked out it might be Alessandra. As incredible as it would be to have four in the top 10, it's a tall order. I so hope Loreen can hang onto No.2. A Eurovision entry at No.1 would be SO huge for the contest's status here (which is already the highest it's been for decades). I don't think it's too much to ask for Twitter's huge UK fandom to get behind Loreen and spend 59p today. Having said that, I think Tattoo is probably too far behind to catch up.
May 18, 20232 yr I think it's only Spotify, Apple and YouTube that have estimated streams. That is of course the majority of the market (Amazon being the biggest one that does report on time) but still. Streams have been counting to the compilation chart for compilations of 'original' material for a few years now which has no doubt helped the Eurovision albums.
May 18, 20232 yr I wish the fact that Loreen is midweek #2 would catch the attention of Eurovision fans on social media, and for there to be a proper push to buy it today! If the news reached enough people who cared, it might not be impossible... but it will be impossible if this news doesn't make any particular waves. Perhaps the word is spreading slowly, because the Acoustic version is up to #15 now on iTunes.
