Not surprised that Selena didn't do better. The song is quite repetitive and dated. Miley's track might take off after airplay and potential TikTok activity kick in.

Also she is not a big act in the UK!!! I don't know why people keep trying to pretend that she is! Song is shite too and there are much better singers. She has no range, so all her songs just stay flat.

The new killers track flop everyone not move average tune. Mr bloody Brightside

They haven't had a new hit in a decade and will not have with this one either

PLZ just let Doja be #1 for 2 weeks max. then Olivia. Not.getting.it. at ALL lol Can't get through it except the scratching record of divine Dionne at the beginning. Song isn't better or worse than 9/10 or whatever of US centric rap pop created by a corporate kit lol. But didn't at all connect or get Sprinter too so...ya it could happen w/ this Doja song (geezus). lol

#184 on Apple Music now. Not a lot but am surprised it's showed up at all tbh

Can just imagine parties, pubs and clubs up and down the country at the end of the night, with whoever's in charge of the music deciding just for a change to play The Killers new song instead of Mr Brightside

It’s been added fairly high to Apple’s Today’s Top Hits, so it’ll be in part due to that.

I imagine 'Mr Brightside' is going to make some big moves up streaming charts tomorrow (well from Monday's chart) due to their Reading set tonight!

AN ANTHEM!

(They also dedicated that song to Barnaby Webber (one of the victims of the Nottingham attacks earlier this year))

Hopefully it won’t get a manual reset from ACR to go top 40. Kinda doubtful tbst it would but George Ezra got one simply for being Brit nominated so who knows

"Used To Be Young"

Spotify: #14

Apple Music: #35

Amazon: #50

Was hoping for a bigger debut on spotify, hopefully it grows/climbs some over the next few days! Good start on Apple & Amazon.

I know I say this every so often but the perennial presence in the charts of Mr Brightside continues to completely baffle me. I could have understood it if it was a handful of songs from that era that got that level of success, but why just that one song in particular? especially when it's not even The Killers' best song

There are a lot of older indie songs that are perennials in the chart, 'Mr. Brightside' is just a way ahead as the most popular one.

It was reset because of him releasing a sped up version, the BRITs thing was just speculation. Still a bit tenuous given that version wasn't exactly doing big numbers but makes a little more sense.

Mr Brightside up to #36 on Apple and #12 Amazon <3 we love to see it <3

So the new OCC rule would be tested immediately if Mr Brightside streams are up 25% or more.

It will stay on ACR due to being a top 100 mainstay, but would have been returned to SCR if it hadn’t been? As much as I have no desire to see Mr Brightside in the top ten for weeks on end, it seems a little unfair to just hamper a small batch of eternally popular songs if they ever get a proper boost back into contention.

the label can always try and ask for a reset

like Dog Days this week I assume

if Mr Brightside does get a manual reset it'll literally not go back to ACR until Christmas so I do hope that doesn't happen, there is no good reason to when it's spent an eternity in the chart already
