and it is not at all what you'd expect from that artist!

We have 2 exciting rounds of 'spot the big sample' in this contest, one much more obvious than the other :magic: (and in fact both are using samples that have already appeared in previous BJSC entries so bonus brownie points if anyone can recall those as well)

 

3 rap entries this month with Scotland 2 joining me and Abeltesfayeton :cheeseblock: (By Storm formerly known as Injury Reserve, I've vaguely considered sending them in the past but was never brave enough to, their last album under that name was great although quite a challenging listen, not heard this song yet though). Good to have at least one of those two in my semi I guess x

 

Paris Texas have a song on their album called 'Lana Del Rey' which I was kind of tempted to send instead just for the memes and confusion. But I don't like it quite as much as 'tenTHIRTYseven'. ('Sean-Jared' from the album is also a banger, although the rest of the album sounded a little patchy oop)

 

A handful of songs I've heard already as usual but none that I remember particularly well so no hype out of the blocks from me for once x Looking forward to hearing the FLJ song though as it's a stealth recycle of one of my past artists (seems to be a new AI infused side project of Vegyn).

 

I look forward to regretting not vetoing Addison Rae x

Sam going for my other potential with Bow so hype there already! Also briefly checked out that Corinne track too a few weeks back but will need to re listen haha and hype to Kath as I know that one too!

I was gonna try sending Addison Rae but it released globally at midnight EST so I didn't have a link to send in before confirmations closed :lol: Fair play.

 

Also re: last contest - I was moving during the final results last time so I wanted to (very belatedly) thank y'all for the support x

Travis was sneaky and sent in a link of the leak from last year before switching it when the official version came out ddd

My artist name used to be idrcualtm but they've since changed it to something more legible, I could say I only entered it for those titles, but it's a banger too :kink:

Just incase it gets brought up - trust and believe, discussions about vetoing Addison were had, but the points weren't really there, the song is arguably not that hyped and we monitored any possible chart success today/discussion and it's only the song with Charli (and talk about the ex Gaga demo in her forum) that would've been a cause for veto.

 

So, yeah, you would not have got away with 2 Die 4 or Nothing On But The Radio x

The last two winners have been songs which appeared in my personal chart pre-contest, so if that run continues it'll be congratulations to one of Kathaldazia (again!), Singerpurear or Zanmatony - this is the first time I've been in the opposite semi to the latter, although I maintain my 100% record of appearing in Semi 2 :o

Ooh Quintessa and Seyetana were literally the next two on my potentials list - very intrigued to see how they both do, they’re brilliant!
